- [Narrator] Next let's discuss the sections of the Confluence administration area. Confluence administration permissions are required to access global application settings. This usually means being part of the Confluence administrator's group, but of course access groups may be named differently in your application. Here are the steps to access the admin area in Confluence Cloud. First log into Confluence with an application administrator account, then click the cog or gear icon at the top right. The admin options are in the left side bar. The default page is general configuration in the configuration section. Use the links in this section to manage global application settings like the application title, date formats, and the default language.
