Course details

If you’ve ever wanted to make a realistic, detailed model of a complex object, why not try to recreate a vintage car, right on your computer? You can do it all digitally as a rendered animation using Blender 3.0, the open-source 3D computer graphics tool. In this course, instructor Darrin Lile shows you how to apply digital modeling techniques and reference images to build a 1952 Nash-Healey roadster.

Learn how to make a detailed model from start to finish, beginning with the underlying shape, adding new pieces as you go, and filling in the car’s interior and exterior with modifiers, renderers, and editing tools built into the Blender interface. From the spoked wheels and tire treads to the undercarriage, headlights, and more, Darrin teaches you how to render the scene to its finest points of material and texture.
