From the course: Adobe Acrobat Basics: Features Everyone Should Know

Welcome to Acrobat

- [Jeff] Acrobat, what an appropriate name for this amazing application that is so flexible in what it can do in the workplace. The average person may think of Acrobat as that program for downloading invoices from a website or a form from the doctor's office. Designers think of Acrobat as that application for sharing their designs with their clients, or sending finished layouts to a commercial printer. While Adobe Acrobat DC tackles all of these tasks and does them so well, Acrobat is so much more. Hi, I'm Jeff Witchel, an Adobe Certified Instructor who loves to share my knowledge of these amazing tools with everyone. I've been using Acrobat since PDFs were first introduced in 1992. In this course, you'll discover how Acrobat can help you open just about any common file format and save it as a PDF, how Acrobat allows you to combine multiple files and organize them exactly the way you want. You can edit existing PDFs with unexpected and even impossible results, compare virtually identical PDFs and find the differences in sections. You can also add notes to A PDF to clearly explain the changes you want made to a document, and you can make forms into interactive fillable PDFs in less than a second. Whether you're a designer, a marketing exec, a lawyer, or a real estate agent, Acrobat will help you handle your day-to-day tasks with far greater efficiency, sometimes even accomplishing the impossible. So why work harder when you can work smarter with Acrobat? When this knowledge is added to your workflow, you can add efficiency in unexpected ways to your business. I can't wait to show you around Acrobat. Let's get started!
