Expand and collapse date displays in PivotTables

- [Instructor] Excel's PivotTable feature is a great tool and it is handy when you're trying to analyze information based on date. But as you use this feature, you might be surprised at different times, possibly if we're trying to analyze this list here that's in columns A through G, it's over 900 rows. If we're analyzing the information by date, we could get a result like we're seeing in the yellow panel to the right that shows information day, by day, by day. On certain days, there is more than one set of items being sold here. Or possibly, we might see the list as it appears over in the green panel to the right, just the grand totals. Regardless of which of these displays turns up, we have the ability to either collapse, as we might with the list that's in the yellow panel, or expand the way we see the list in the green panel, and there's a switch in Excel that could be overlooked.
