- [Instructor] When you work with dates in Excel, whether you're working with sample data or real data, sometimes date formulas are problematic. In this worksheet here, we see some people in the sales department. We've got the hire dates in column C. We're going to calculate a review date as well, but let's point out some valuable information right at your fingertips without even formulas. As I click column C, the status bar at the bottom of the screen, this is below where sheet tabs often are, but off to the right, you can see as many as six different statistical measures here. In fact, anytime you highlight two or more cells with values, you're going to see something down there. If you right click within the status bar, you get a huge list. But, these six entries here, which are really viable, not only for dates, but all kinds of numeric values, we get some good information here. And not obvious at first, but it shows…
