Isometric drafting (ISODRAFT)
- We starting another drawing for this particular chapter where we're looking at other drafting tools. The drawing is called isometric.dwg. Now, when you open up the drawing in the model tab you can see that we are on the objects layer here. So on the flyer make sure you select the word objects, so that you're drawing on the same layer as the existing lines in the drawing. Now, what we've got is an unfinished isometric view of a rectangular shape. And as I mentioned, isometric views provide a sort of 2D representation of a 3D object. And the two angles that you use are 60 degrees and 30 degrees. So you can see here, we've got a 30 degree angle from the horizontal with this line here, for example. And then as you look here we've got another 30 degrees coming off of the horizontal going in the opposite direction. That then forms a nice right angle there on the corner.
