- If your goal is slow motion there's a handful of ways to pull it off. You could choose to shoot it the correct way with a higher frame rate and then interpret it differently. Or you can rely upon after effects to try to stretch the footage and slow it down. The in-camera method is always best but After Effects can be combined with it for even better results. Let's take a look here at that over crank method. Here, you'll see that we have a 60 frame per second clip. When we play it back at normal speed everything looks to be standard motion.
