Removing camera shake in After Effects
- A common problem that you'll face when shooting handheld or even on a tripod can be camera shake. This can be distracting, and really makes the shot look less professional. After Effects has a great tool to help fix this. In this case, we have a shot that's vibrating a bit because we're shooting from a great distance while having the tripod resting on the dock. Unfortunately, people are walking around on the dock, and it creates a little bit of subtle vibration particularly since we're shooting on a very long lens. What I can do from the effects, and presets is type in stabilize or you can go to the tracker panel, and find it as well, and just highlight the layer, and click warp stabilizer. If you take a look at that, you'll notice that it analyzing the clip, and begins to fix. It'll take a little bit, but initially once it is kicked in, it has to go through each frame.
