Adding solid geometry: Extrusions

- [Instructor] In this video, we're going to begin adding the solid geometry that will comprise our Pool Table family. Now, I'm going to start with a simple extrusion. And to build this extrusion, I want to work in the ref level floor plan. So just click on this tab right here to make that the active view. Its name will appear in bold on the tab and here on Project Browser to help you identify it as the active view. I'm going to zoom in a little bit closer on the reference planes that are here in the middle, and then I will click the Solid Extrusion button here on the ribbon. That puts us in Sketch Mode. It's similar to other sketch modes that we've been in before. So I'm going to move right over here to the Draw panel and choose the shape that I want, which is a simple rectangle in this case, and I will snap from the intersection at one corner of this rectangular area to the opposite corner.
