Adding doors and windows

- [Instructor] In this video, we're going to add some doors and windows to our layout here. So I'm continuing in the two bedroom apartment unit, and I will start with doors. So on the architecture tab, I'm going to click the doors tool, or you can type D + R, the keyboard shortcut. Now the default door in the imperial file is door passage single flush door that is 36 inches wide by 84 inches tall. If you're working in the metric file, then it will be door passage single flush and it'll be 900 millimeters wide by 2100 millimeters tall. So in both cases we're going to accept that default, and let's go ahead and place one of those doors. Now on the status bar at the bottom of the screen, it says click on a wall to place a door. Doors and windows are wall hosted elements, so before you can place them you must designate which wall you want them hosted to.
