- [Instructor] Enterprise architecture is a broad topic. It encompasses many aspects of a business beyond just the computers and software. EA is really about systems, including how they work, what they produce, and who is responsible for operating them. A business itself is a system made up of people, capabilities, and process. The people are organized by department and job role. The processes are organized by business capabilities, whether they're created by careful design or trial and error evolution, all these relationships between humans, capabilities, and processes exist in any functioning business. The practice of modeling and documenting these relationships is called business architecture. Business architecture is a component of enterprise architecture.
