Please, don't eat at this place. Horrible service, and high prices for literally nothing, compared to for examples[external reference].
Save your money, and never eat at this terrible "bøfhouse".
I have never been on a restaurant, where they serve this kind of food for humans. The beef was almost like stone and the vegestables in the salad bar were too old to be served. The potatoes were still frozen inside.
I've been in Jensens Bøfhus only once, on Axeltorv 6 in Copenhagen, only because I was invited by the company. The food was mediocre, service lousy - we had to wait forever to get to the table. I've tried to get to same restaurand with my husband for lunch few months later. Even though the restaurant was quite empty, the service chose to ignore us for over 15 minutes, so we decided to go somewhere else. Never again will my feet step on Jensens Bøfhus doorstep.
The steaks are mediocre and service is questionable
I've just been to their restaurant in Aarhus and found the food and service absolutely terrible; the meat was of a extremely bad quality, the salat was old and far from tasty and the service was non-existing! Hence, we waited more that one hour before receiving our meal, which at that time was cold and uninspirational.
The only positive thing to say about the food was the sauce, which was fairly tasty. But the sauce won't do it for a whole meal would it!?
A beef with Jensen's Bøfhus!
I have eaten at Jensen's Bøfhus in Århus several times in 2008 and found it to be quite a nice restaurant. Jensen's Bøfhus has opened a restaurant in Oslo and I have been looking forward to going there with my wife and friends. I was in Aalborg January 21.2013 with my wife and noticed there was a Jensen's Bøfhus across from Bilka shopping center. I told my wife that Jensen's Bøfhus is a very good restaurant and better than the restaurant at the Store Restrup Manor House where we were staying. I ordered garlic bread with cheese, spareribs and a glass of water. My wife ordered some Asian thing as an appetizer and chicken as a main course. She also ordered the “ta-selv-salatbar” -all you can eat salad. (I am a bit overweight so I’m trying to cut down on salad ;D ).
The waitress was a young woman. After we were finished ordering she took the menus. I held on to mine and said we would like to look at the desserts while we wait. There were nice big pictures on desserts in the menu. (My wife is Chinese and does not read Danish or English) The waitress assertively pulled the menu out of my hand and said pictures of the desserts were on the placemats and left. There were indeed some postage stamp size pictures around the edge of the placemat. I was a bit annoyed by this behavior but maybe they have an extreme shortage of menus. We can surely get the menus back when it’s time to order dessert. My wife went and got her salad and the waitress came with the appetizers. My wife wanted to ask me something about the dressing on her salad. She cut a piece of a mushroom and gave it to me with her fork. The waitress appeared out of nowhere and proclaimed that the salad was only for one person and I would now need to pay for two salads! She then left. I got up and went to where several of waiters / waitresses were standing and asked to see the manager. My waitress came and said she was the manager asked if I had a problem. I replied indeed I do have a problem. We are canceling our order and leaving never to return. We will pay for the two appetizers and the extra salad I did not eat. I was only charged for one salad but I was charged over 50 kroner ($9 – 7 EUR) for two glasses of water.
I can understand such a reaction if someone is repeatedly getting more salad in an attempt to rip of the restaurant for a free salad but this was certainly not the case. A would expect more competence in evaluating such situations particularly from a restaurant manager.
If you want to get real Danish quality steaks, go else where!!.
quality is poor but it is of course a poor man's restaurant people with a taste for quality will never visit this place
there are lots of words you can use to describe Jensens.
Bland sauces, poorly cooked beef, questionable service....
Try ' Bones ', far superior.
Jensen’s Bøfhus don’t allow wheelchair users to eat inside the restaurant. But we are welcome to sit outside the restaurant beside dogs and cats and eat our food. I know at least 3 wheelchair users include myself there is been kicked out from the restaurant.
I will not recommend the restaurant to any.
This is not a place you want to visit. Low standards all the way.
