Passive vs. active space on slides

- [Instructor] When we cram a lot of text onto our slides, like this, we don't really need to think too much about space, because we don't have much leftover slide space to work with. But now we know better. That having too much text on the slide overwhelms the audience. That people can't read and listen at the same time. We know we need to simplify our message, but that creates a new problem. What to do with all the extra slide space? Well, you have to train yourself to start seeing space differently, and learn how to use space in a way that positively affects your subject and your message. So how do we do that? Well, first, we need to understand the different kinds of space, most namely, passive and active space.
