Working with Revit directly
- [Instructor] If you open a Revit model directly, you can work with Revit directly. It's almost that simple. What happens is, once we create the NWC file we can make some changes in Revit, then refresh Navisworks and update the model. This is so much more efficient than the way I had to do it before. So before we do that the first thing I want to do is jump into Navisworks. Click the home button. Let's jump down to options. I'm going to collapse my file readers so you'll probably see this for the first time. Open file readers. I want to scroll down to where it says Revit and I'm not sure what your defaults will look like but let's make sure ours match. For coordinates, select project internal. Uncheck convert linked Revit files. Uncheck convert, linked CAD formats. I don't want to divide files into levels here. And let's make sure we convert first 3D view. Then click, okay.
