Celebrated Poet Cleo Wade Wrote a New Children's Book — Get a Peek Inside! (Exclusive)

Cleo Wade has a new book coming out with an even more personal connection than her previous works. 

May You Love and Be Loved: Wishes for Your Life will be published by Feiwel & Friends on May 7. The book features mantras for every day, brought to life by original illustrations by Wade. While the book is listed as most appropriate for children ages 3-6, the publisher notes that it doubles as a self-help book for adults thanks to its lyrical, widely applicable sentiments on life, love and following your dreams.

The book is a "heartfelt and lyrical ... love letter to the infinite potential of the future, expressing the many hopes and dreams we hold for our children and ourselves," the publisher says in a statement. One spread reads:  

May you know fear but not be driven by it
May you know joy and follow it everywhere
May you know light and shine it every chance you get

"Cleo has a way with words," the publisher says. "May You Love and Be Loved is like a warm hug, enveloping the reader in hope and optimism for our (and our kids') infinite potential."

Wade is also the author of What the Road Said, Heart Talk: Poetic Wisdom for a Better Life, Where to Begin: A Small Book About Your Power to Create Big Change in Our Crazy World and Heart Talk: The Journal: 52 Weeks of Self-Love, Self-Care, and Self-Discovery.
