How to Purchase or Extend a Nintendo Switch Online Membership

Applies to:  Nintendo Switch Family, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch Lite, Nintendo Switch - OLED Model

Steps to buy a new Nintendo Switch Online membership or add time to an ongoing membership through Nintendo eShop or the Nintendo website.

Additional information

  • If you already belong to a family membership, you cannot purchase, redeem a download code for, or change to an individual membership.
  • If you already have an existing membership, you may be able to change to another membership plan for a discounted price.
  • When you use a credit card to set up automatic renewal, we may receive updated information from your issuing bank or applicable payment service provider about the credit card. This means we may update the saved credit card's number and expiration date if it is replaced or it has expired. This helps ensure that your subscriptions automatically renew and your purchases complete successfully, even if your credit card information changes.
