Did Truist stop supporting Apple Pay?

I have always used a Truist card for Applepay but they changed my number and it won’t accept the new one

Thanks so much for replying. I finally got an answer yesterday after nearly 1.5 hrs on the phone with Truist. They told me that my card had an invalid expiration date. It definitely was not an invalid date. It was a date well into 2024. This is the new card that they just sent me with an expiration date months from now (there was fraudulent activity and they made me get a new card). 🤯

They told me that they were going to have to send me ANOTHER new card with an expiration date farther in the future so that it would link to Apple wallet, and that they would expedite the shipment this time, but it would take at least five business days “expedited.” This is after it already took almost two weeks to get a replacement card. I hung up the phone, went to my local branch, and canceled my Truist account. I don’t have time for nonsense like this. It takes forever to link accounts. I’m not doing it multiple times at the bank that has terrible customer service.

I hope this helps others with the same situation.

That would need to be asked of Truist directly.

However, it does not see like they've stopped supporting Apple Pay.

Perhaps if you explain exactly why Truist changed your number, and what happens when you try to add it to Apple Pay, someone can help you resolve the issue.

Do note, that if the number was changed, because the previous card was cancelled, the banks and card issuers will normally update the card in Wallet automatically, and you don't really need to do anything.

If Truist has not updated your number, you may need to remove the existing card entirely and add it again from scratch.

Weird. I’m having this same issue described above, but in my case my card is NOT new. My iPhone is new. When I upgraded to iPhone15, everything in my wallet got moved over except my Truist VISA. When I try to add to the wallet, I get the “invalid card” error, but this same card was successfully used on my iPhone11. I guess I’ll make a call to Truist.

So here we are a few months later. While I could connect my debit card, it wouldn't allow me to connect my VISA. I had to request a new card, because of some fraudulent activity. They sent me a new one (expedited over night), and when I got it, I tried setting up Apple Pay again. This time it worked flawlessly. No one at Truist could explain "why" it quit working on a card it always worked with, but now works fine with a brand new card.

Hey, so after they told me they’d have to send me another new card with an expiration date farther away (the expiration date originally was over 7 months away, so not exactly close), I told them to forget it and I closed my Truist accounts. Hope you get your situation resolved. I didn’t have the time or patience to keep waiting on them.
