THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM!

This company does not even deserve a 1-star rating. They are completely fraudulent and extremely difficult to deal with. After they made a disgusting dress which did not look anything like the picture, they refused to give a full discount (only 9% was offered). Total scam!

SUCH A WASTE OF MONEY AND TIME!!

SUCH A WASTE OF MONEY AND TIME!!
I am utterly disappointed with the long sleeve wedding dress I ordered. The material on the sleeves and upper body area is BRIGHT ORANGE instead of 'nude', which is what I’m guessing it was trying to be - completely different to the photo advertised.
The long sleeves are so baggy it frankly looks ridiculous, it is not stretchy but it’s stiff and if it was skin tight, I wouldn’t be able to move my arms. So it’s completely the wrong fabric. And it’s a double layer so there is a heap of crinkling going on everywhere due to the double material.
The lace that is sown on top has been cut out so unevenly, it’s all over the place, messy and rushed. There are two bits that stick up in the air on the shoulder area as well.
The bottom half of the dress is so unflattering, it’s been sewn in a way that the material comes out at the waist almost in a 90 degree angle, completely different to the soft A-line drop which can be seen on the advertised photo.
The inbuilt bra is hideous, it’s literally two yellow circles and it is completely visible through the lace.
They refuse to give a refund or help in ANY WAY!

NEVER ORDER ANYTHING FROM JADEGOWNS ....

Please people, never place an order with Jadegowns, you will end up a dress that does not resemble the photo or does not fit and you will end up out of pocket because they will not provide a refund. I ordered a custom dress for my daughter (Sept 16) and the dress arrived via China (and not Sydney as we thought) in a cheap fabric, different style from the photo on the website and it did not fit. On trying to contact Jadegowns (DAISY CHEN), she will ask you for photos to prove the dress doesn't fit! When you challenge that you will not send photos of the dress around your daughters knees because it is way too small, you will get no response. I have sent numerous emails. I have now reported Jadegowns to Consumer Affairs and to my bank hoping that I might get a refund through consumer projection.

TOTAL SCAM - JADEGOWNS has a new name MINEL.COM.AU

Do not use this company!!! Heartache, headache and money loss
I was on a wedding budget and stumbled onto a “top ad” website: Jadegowns. It had a UK contact details, good selection of dresses; many customer reviews…. It looked legit
After reading 34 of 4 and 5 star reviews on a dress on the website, I decided to purchase the dress.
The dress costs $331 after (45% discount)
Extra $30 for custom order
Extra $30 for rush order
Extra $25 at check out for delivery
Currency different $12
My Credit card was charged $428 in total
After purchase, there wasn’t a communication from the customer service, I was really anxious and emailed them to see when the dress was due for delivery
3 days later I had an email response from Daisy Chen telling me that the dress was sent but no tracking number
After 2 weeks, the dress arrived. It was a piece of rubbish.
The dress is nothing like the one advertised on the website (silk, lace and beads). The material is cheap, it is what you find in a Halloween costume
The workmanship is beyond unacceptable and it is way bigger than my measurements.
I emailed customer service, Daisy Chen told me to pay more money to have another dress made with different material.
She told me that it was my fault for not giving them the correct measurements.
I told her “why did I pay extra $30 for a custom order and lied about my measurement” and asked for a refund.
Daisy Chen told me they will refund 10%
Considering it only costs them $24 on delivery, $10 for material, $20 for 2 hours work; I tried to negotiate with them to get 50% refund but they refused.
So I turned down the insult and will use my spare time to help other people not to fall into this scam. I will follow this company (and with any other names they will use in future) and write reviews/ blogs until they stop causing headache and heartache to others

Please let your friends and family know about this company.
JADEGOWNS domain doesn't exist when you search them; they have changed the domain name to Minel.com.au.
Beware that after scamming some money they will change their domain to scam more people

IRRESPONSIBLE COMPANY

This company now is Minel.com.au

I have spend over AUD$250 to buy a dress from them and end up the color is completely WRONG!!!

I've requested them to remake and resend. Their staff, DAISY CHEN, said is going to charge 60% material fee to remake.

WHAT A JOKE THAT I NEED PAY EXTRA TO SOLVE THE MISTAKES THEY MADE???!!!!!

It's clear state on their website about exchange & refund policy point 1:

"1. Order is the wrong colour/size/style? If it’s our fault we’ll fix it.
Wanted blue and we gave you pink? If it’s our mistake we’ll remake your dress and this time, we’ll pay the material fee. Sent us a picture of what you received and we will make sure of the situation. You can keep the original one as well."

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY WITH THIS COMPANY!!!

Deceitful Company - Fraudulent and Liars

Also received my dress 5 days late and the dress is unwearable. Too small, beading hanging by a string, lopsided shoulders. Seams are all crooked and 6 cm to small around my breasts. The worse workmanship I have ever experienced in my life. I wish I too had read all this reviews. It is appalling.. I was only offered 10% refund. I have reported this company to the Office of Fair Trade. I hope their investigations do find them illegitimate an dodgy.
So so so disappointed and disheartened as I had purchased this for my son's wedding.

DO NOT ORDER FROM JADE GOWNS!

If you have had a bad experience with Jade Gowns as I did please report it to Business Consumer Affairs. I DID!
I received a dress that was not what I order, horrible cheap fabric and they refused to refund the dress or fix it for me. In fact they even told me to take it to my local alterations place and have it fixed, at my expense. How rude!

File a complaint with BCA - the more complaints they receive the more they can investigate the company and they can stop this company doing this to other people.

It wrong!

BEWARE, PRODUCT QUALITY AKIN TO CHILDS DRESS UP BOX AND NOT WEARABLE

Stained, poor quality, sequins tacked on and coming off, looks like a costume. We asked for a refund due to fabric flaws and staining to be offered 8% amounting to less than $20 for a dress that was more than $200 or a remake for more money. There is no way we'll be trying again and we can't reuse the fabric. DO NOT SEND YOUR MONEY TO THIS COMPANY.

Impressed with dresses- Perth WA

I have listed a few good and bad points below but overall pretty happy with them hence the four stars. ;)

I found out I was going to be 18 weeks pregnant for my sister's wedding so my sister decided to let us buy some new bridesmaid dresses so I'd be more comfortable. My cousin and I (the bridesmaids) ordered 2 lilac full length coloured dresses with beaded detail. We were considering going made to measure but decided we just wanted them asap and could get alterations done locally so went with our usual sizes (size 10 and usually size 14/16 so I ordered size 18 catering for pregnancy). We also asked for the extra 5cm length to cater for heels. We were short on time so we ordered rush order which said 8-11 working days.

I would highly recommend if you're not in a huge rush to just go with standard delivery as we paid an extra $25 for rush order and it still took (could be Australia Post's fault though not sure?) about 15 working days. I nearly kissed the poor postman when he finally arrived!
When i opened the bags I was pleasantly surprised at the quality despite all the bad reviews (i was expecting the worst though!). They came turned inside out to obviously protect the beading/detail but the fabric (chiffon on outside) and silk feel lining on inside was equivalent to what you'd find in most bridal places that sell bridesmaid dresses and the colour was also lovely and yes, lilac.
(I think people get disappointed when they're picturing a colour to be their exact vision of that shade and it turns out slightly different. If you're going to be that picky it's probably best you go look in person rather than buy online! ;))

My size 18 dress fitted me perfectly which was a bit of a worry because looking at it, it looks more like a size 16 but it should be fine because it's empire style and if it needs altering width wise i'll just ask whoever does it to put another panel in the lining using the length they cut off from the bottom of the dress (the dresses were that extra bit longer because i asked for the 5cm extra but glad i did because we're both average height and would've hated it to be too short!).

I'd recommend to order a size up from your usual size if you go by Australian sizing and don't want it made to measure (plus if you're spending a bit of money on it!) because you need to think of what the standard measurements might be in the country they're being made in! Even on the flowy types that we ordered, the lining on the inside isn't as forgiving and is pretty fitted. I think I would've been stuffed if I wasn't even pregnant and had ordered a size 14 as it would've been more like a 12. If you go big, you can always get it taken in but if you go small...you're sorta stuck and i haven't heard great comments on here about their refund policy!

Overall I'm giving these guys a 4 because I think it's fair to say, based on my personal experience, for an online company selling bridal attire, they're alright. There could've been friction if I had received the dresses any later (i contacted them twice and got a response saying that it had been shipped despite my account on their website saying it hadn't been?) but the fact that I wasn't scammed, I received the dresses packaged neatly and nicely and they were decent quality..what more can you really ask of from an online shop where you can't actually see and try the thing on?! ;-)

DO NOT BUY!!! A SCAM AND NO REFUND FOR WRONG DRESS

I bought a dress from Jade Gowns and paid just short of $400 and when the dress arrived, it looked nothing like the dress in the photo plus it does not fit past my bum. The size is so wrong, the material is sequin not what the photo showed as. Completely hideous dress, nothing like the photo and 10 cm longer than what I asked for. I contacted them and after e-mailing back and forth they refuse to refund and they offered to remake it and asked me to pay for the material. First they told me to sort it out with a local dressmaker, when I declined, they came up wit the option of re making but charge me for their mistake,. I hope this review gets further and people are made aware that in fact this is a Hong Kong company who gets away with making people believe that they are based in Australia by simply using ".com.au" for their website. There is no customer service as you get ignored every time. I have been sending e-mail after e-mail asking for my refund and nothing. No reply. An expensive lesson to learn. I hope everyone learns from my mistake and do not buy from them. I wish there was something we can do about it as this is not right and cannot get away with it like this. It's not ok. I will try to do something from my bank and claim as scam. Hopefully they can refund me.

Do not buy from this scam company!!!

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SCAM COMPANY!!!! I spent over $500 for 2 dresses that took forever to receive and when I did receive them the dresses were shocking!!! Really bad quality and workmanship and look nothing like the pictures they advertise. When I contacted customer service they were not interested in helping in anyway basically having the attitude as oh well not our problem now as you have the dresses and have already paid for them even though I sent them photos as they asked on what was wrong with the items. The Dresses were sent back at my own cost to CHINA not Australia as their website suggests you are buying from. From there they said they would only refund half of the cost of the dresses which I waited for but was never done. When followed up again they had gone down to only refunding 10% of the $520. I shop online all the time and have never dealt with such a dodgy unhelpful company in my life.

RUBBISH!!!!...SCAMMERS!!!!

"Jadegowns.com.au" is a crooked company. We wasted $260.00 learning this lesson. The operate from HK with their factory in mainland China. According to our parcel - they sent from Suzhou. They get away with this by making customers believe they are an Australian Company. They use a ".com.au" website and also make customers feel they have immediate access to assistance through their "chat" facility. This is what they want you to believe. They do not have a physical address in Australia and there are NO telephone numbers to call. They operate with GMAIL accounts for their customer service. This is where they get you. You buy a dress, pay lots of money - and then when your dress arrives - it is invariably the wrong size, not the right colour, poor fabrics or absolutely shoddy workmanship and/or lack of detail craftsmanship and quality. In our case the photo of the dress we bought looked NOTHING like the dress we eventually received. Something that looked stunning with sequens, intricate beading to a gorgeous BODICE ended up being NOTHING like what we eventually received. We had just been duped! They offer no refunds, they suggest they might redo the dress etc - all just to frustrate us with time delays, seeking more photographs of the errors and omissions on the dress.
This is how they operate. Frustrating you with only vague answers, and basically outright deceptive and unacceptable resolution of our complaints. (pity we cant put photos up on this site - the disaster would be obvious to all)!!!
We know they will not refund. We just want others to also avoid them like the plague!!!!

.......Ok, so now Jadegown.com.au have posted a reply to my original review of their company service. Seems like I can't comment on they're review - so i will make the next few observations on their reply.

-please note they have sent the identical "reassuring" reply to me as to a number of other disgruntled customers. The same "saving of face" and "reassurance of action to solve our problem". Well - i"m not going to hold my breath. This is a simple ploy to reassure would be customers that they are genuine. Well people - if you can see through the smoke screen - you can see they are rubbish. Trust your gut - buy local and avoid this scam!!

.....oh...and by the way!!!...the follow up from this company LISTED BELOW is just utter CRA#! We have NOT received to this date...2 YEARS LATER any letter, email or correspondence!!

Don't use them! Absolute rip off - no customer service for their mistakes

Absolutely terrible company that promises the world but delivers nothing near it. They sucked me in twice, first gown arrived $327.00, measurements were so far out I couldn't even get it above my knees, they promised a refund but would be quicker if I ordered and paid for new one, so dumb me did it as I was running short of time (another $232.00), second dress arrived with correct measurements but completely wrong color, was supposed to be black and arrived white also with no sleeves that were requested. I paid rush for the second order but it arrived 6 days later than maximum date given, they do not respond to emails for days and only offer a 10% refund...............Only thing I can suggest for those ripped off already is opening a dispute with your credit card provider for an unauthorized transaction as I can see they have taken your money under false and misleading pretenses. Fingers crossed it works out. Such a shame they prey on brides just wanting a gorgeous dress without having to pay a fortune. Good Luck All......xx

A dishonourable company to be avoided at all costs

My wife loved the dress that she saw on the website so we parted with our AU$280 for it including the postage. SHOULD HAVE READ THE REVIEWS FIRST!!
The dress arrived in very good time but was only sent in a standard courier bag. It arrived all creased and in a bit of a mess. Worst to come. The dress looked like a sack. When she tried it on she could not even get it on fully - the 'custom fit' sizes that we had supplied had obviously been ignored and the dress had been made to a random selection of measurements.
We contacted Jadegowns who requested photographic evidence of the ill-fitting dress which we duly provided. The Jadegowns representative agreed that the dress did not fit and so offered to remake the dress for another $190!! This despite their website stating that they would remake any item where the error was theirs. We rejected this and so they dropped their remaking fee by $20 - so much for rectifying their error at no additional cost.
Three further emails have all been ignored. I guess we have now accepted that we have been defrauded out of our $280 as all we got in return is a useless ill-fitting rag in return.
A very expensive lesson to have learnt - make sure you don't fall for one as well. Avoid this company at all costs.

Dodgy!!! Avoid jade gowns

Jade gowns do not give full refunds when they send you a dress that they have made too small after giving them your measurements. The dresses and company are in China even though the website appears to be Australian or from the UK. Even though the website says you can return for refund you won't get a full refund. I had a live chat with an employee who told me that they would give a full refund if the dress was made incorrectly ie too small. When this happened in real life they offered me a $25 refund on a dress I paid $220 for. WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN!!!!!
Update on 8th February......
Jade gowns replied to my email saying that they really wanted to sort this out. I told them that I would accept the Now $30 refund on 20 January. Still haven't received the refund. I have asked them quite a few times when I will receive the refund and they keep saying "we're dealing with it". I asked them if I will ever receive this refund or if they are tricking me and they replied that their finance department are on holiday. I asked for a date when finance department get back from holiday and they haven't said anything. I doubt whether I'll see a refund at all!

DONT BUY FROM THIS PLACE!!!!!!!!!!!!

The only reason I made this account was to express my experience with JadeGowns.

I purchased a dress from this website which ended up being completely different to the image I had provided; different style, oversized and different color. By their exchanges and returns I should have been given a complete new dress, however they only offered a partial refund. After emailing for a full refund based on the information shown on the website, they don't even reply. They aren't based in UK as shown on their website either.

DO NOT RISK YOUR MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
