- [Gini] I need to create a new data model. So I closed Power BI and opened it again because if I look at file, there's no command to simply close a model. We close all of Power BI and now we're ready to bring in some additional data. You might remember that an important reason to use Power BI Desktop is to be able to create data models that include multiple tables so that we can create relationships between them. I'm going to choose Get Data, Excel workbook. I could also simply click Excel workbook right here, one step shorter, and in the chapter eight folder in the exercise files, I'm going to open Relationships. This particular Excel workbook has four possible data sources that we could use, a table that we're not going to use, and then customers, states and territories. The three tables we will use, I'm going to load all three of those into Power BI and then I'm going to look at the data quickly. This is our customer's table, this looks good.
