Taking frequent breaks

- It may seem a little counter-intuitive, but the best way to get the most amount of things done is to take frequent breaks. How frequent? Depends on the group, depends on what you're doing. But in my experience, no one should sit for more than 90 minutes, ever. If your meeting is going to be longer than 90 minutes then you have to put in frequent breaks, possibly at the 45 minute mark, definitely at the 90 minute mark. Also, if you're having people turn off their phones and put them away, which you should be because of how much it increases engagement and productivity, dramatic, then you're going to need to give people an opportunity to check back in with their device. Another form of a break is to give people something to eat and drink. Dehydration is rampant, particularly in offices which are often over air-conditioned or overheated.
