Creating centroids from polygons

- [Instructor] A centroid is a point at the geographic center of a spatial object. We can use centroids to quickly get information about the feature without having to draw or load the entire object. This is especially important when you have very complex objects. Let's create centroids from the parcels. So let's drag and drop the parcels to our current project. There they are, and they take a while to load, as you can see. Now ,what we're going to do is we're going to go to Analysis and use Tools. And we're going to say feature to point. Feature to point, that's a process in the Analysis Tools that allows us to create centroids. So the Input Features will be PARCELS, and the Output, we'll change it to PARCEL CENTROIDS.
