Edit a profile using the profile grid view
- [Instructor] Often, it's helpful to edit profiles numerically, kind of like using a spreadsheet. Let's take a look at how profile grid view helps you to do that. To get started, I'll zoom in a bit, and select my Jordan Court FGCL profile. The blue line in the profile view. Then up on the ribbon, I'll click Geometry Editor, and on the Profile Layout Tools toolbar, I'll click the grid view icon. That opens Panorama, and it shows me all of the stations, elevations, and grades for my profile. What we'd like to do in this exercise is round out some of the values. Whenever possible, it's a good design practice to use nice even numbers because it simplifies things, and makes it a little harder to make mistakes. So for example, if we look at point number three, we see the station as two plus 72.48. Let's make that a nice even two plus 70. I'll do that by entering 270 in the cell and pressing Enter, and Civil 3D will convert…
