Create alignments from objects

- [Instructor] Now that you know a little bit about alignments, it's time to create some new ones. Let's see how it's done when you create them from objects already in the drawing. To get started, I'll go to the home tab, click the alignment dropdown, and select create alignment from objects. I'm prompted to select an object, and I'll pick this long magenta polyline. And if I zoom in, you'll see that this is labeled, Jordan Court. I'll go ahead and press enter. And I noticed that there's a black arrow that tells me the default direction of the alignment. This is important because when we station the alignment, this is the direction that the stations will increase. So they'll start from zero or 1,000 and increase in number as we reach this end down here. If the arrow is pointing to the south, that's good. That's the direction we want. If it's pointing to the north, we want to click reverse down here…
