Selecting polygonal components

- [Instructor] When we model in Maya, we're basically just reshaping an object. We're moving parts of that object around to get the shape that we want. Now those parts are called components and those are basically faces, edges, and vertices. Let me show you what I mean. So I'm going to go ahead and select this object and right click above it. And you'll see we get what's called a marking menu. Now it's got a lot of stuff in it, but I'm really just interested in vertex, edge, and face. So I'm going to go ahead and select vertices. And there we go. So these are basically the vertices that make up this object. Now they're basically just points and I can select any one of those by right clicking on them. If I right click over the model again, I can move up to edge and select those. And those are essentially lines. So they're the lines that connect the vertices. If I right click again, I can select faces. And those faces…
