[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am in love with my new washer! This LG washing machine replaced an old Kenemore that was on it's last leg. I am very happy with the load capacity. It tackles a full weeks worth of clothes for both daughters in one load and we've even successfully washed our king comforter. The load options are easy to choose and also make your own. We tend to wash our items in cold water more often, so we switch it to "normal" and then manually click the water temp button. I've also been able to hit the pause button and throw items in that I missed when I started the load. This is usually within 5 minutes of starting the load. I was leary about front load washers because of the mold horror stories, so I decided to be more proactive and I leave a hand towel in my bin of laundry products to wipe down the rubber casket and door when I am done with my final load of the day. I have worked this machine endlessly for the past 4 weeks and have noticed only one thing that makes me leary and it is the amount of water that is left in the detergent reservoir after the load is done. It's not a lot, but enough to dump several drips out to ensure there's no water just hanging around. If you're not overwhelmed by options, I would totally recommend this washer (dryer set). It's easy to figure out, but I feel like it might overwhelm my mother in-law, who still specifically requests a flip phone when she needs a new cell phone!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After three week of service it is performing as advertised, no bad surprises. Washer is extremely quiet and stable besides being very frugal with water usage. One nice attribute is the short washing cycle for most of the normal loads. The washer display even tells you what the length of the cycle will be, very convenient. The WiFi app has also performed very well. With the laundry in the basement and the washer’s quiet operation, it informs us when the wash load is done, saving any unnecessary trips down to the laundry. Speaking of the WiFi, I had a very nice and knowledgeable gentleman, Thomas, in the LG tech department help me set up the app.

Bought this washing machine to replace an old Samsung that couldn't balance a load anymore. I opted for the LG for its features and quality. it takes large loads very well it's very quiet and having the app is nice to let you know when it's done so you can put them in the dryer

About week 6 after delivery we notices water stains on the run coming from under the washer. Turns out the water hose from behind the soap trays wash leaking and a service call was required. Problem was fixed but now we need to have the rug replaced. To do that the washer/dryer and several cabinets must be removed from the room.

Is it normal to be obsessed with a washer/dryer? Because I am. LOVE THESE! They are so pretty in person & amazing quality. They are so so quiet! I don’t even close my laundry room door ever since they barely make any noise. Amazing products. I love these so so much!

This washing machine is a good balance between style and function. The black steel finish looks great and holds up to fingerprints and other daily use. We replaced an 8-year-old LG and are happy with some of the upgrades and improvements that this model offers. For instance, the door on this model has a much better handle. The door is also flat which allows for larger loads (I think). The controls are easy to use and understand. The capacity is large enough for a king size comforter (barely). The washer is quiet with the water being the loudest noise it makes. It has the steam sanitary function which introduces steam into the cycle and sanitizes your laundry. It also has the 360 degree turbo wash which positions the water jets in such a way to get the laundry cleaner faster. I noticed this made a difference when washing bedding. The direct drive motor comes with a 10-year warranty. Overall, this is a good choice for anyone looking for a quality, stylish washer.

Wow.. washing machines have changed and technology has made washing clothes an art-form instead of a chore. The LG 27 IN. 4.5 CU. FT. BLACK STEEL ULTRA CAPACITY FRONT LOAD WASHING MACHINE WITH TURBOWASH360 is amazing. The large tinted glass door makes it look stylish but still large enough to see whats inside. This washing machine has 11 cycles with the option to download custom cycles from the phone app. But honestly the cycles are all so close to each other you can do with 5 or 6 and simply change soil level or water temp. The control panel also has quick set cycles like (steaming, pre-wash, turbo wash and extra rinse for a few). Installation was easy but hardware was not included. Luckily the installation company was kind enough to have extra hardware and we were good to go! Pros of the washer so far, besides a great wash with tons of cleaning combination it is very quiet and the drum spins at an amazingly fast speed so by the time my wash is done. Its almost dry. It is more energy efficient than my older washer and probably uses a fraction of the water but only time will tell with that. It has a great color and finish and I notice it is finger print resistant which is very nice. Something to look out for besides having way too many buttons for anyone to know what to do with. During the first cycle the washing machine was vibrating tremendously and violently screeching I thought it was going to explode but after reading the manual I realized there are 4 shipping bolts in the back that keep the drum in place that NEED TO BE REMOVED BEFORE USE. And after removing the bolts the washing machine ran quietly and smoothly. Also after almost a month of heavy laundry I noticed the gunk from the dirty clothes will build up towards the bottom of the rubber lining which can cause a little odor.

This washing machine is awesome. It has cut down my laundry time by at least 1/3. It has a large capacity drum that can hold up to 20 pounds of laundry per wash load. It also has AI technology that uses built-in sensors to detect fabric texture and load size and then automatically selects the right settings. You can even use the ThinQ app to activate smart pairing and the washer can tell the dryer to select a compatible drying cycle. It has a allergen cycle that uses the gentle power of steam to remove pet dander and dust. It is even certified asthma and allergy friendly by the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America (AAFA).

I really love this wash machine. It's so elegant looking and I love all the features. The preset wash cycles make doing loads quick and easy, but you can also customize every aspect of the wash right down to the spin speed. Connecting the washer to the ThinQ app allows you to download additional wash cycles, and monitor the wash cycle, reorder wash supplies or be alerted when the wash cycle is finished. Also, connecting your washer to the app will alert you to when there's an error or if it's time for cleaning cycling. I really like the ability to use two different quick wash cycles. Turbo wash will take about 30 minutes and speed wash takes about 15, unless you want to use cold water, then it will take about 5-10 minutes longer. I found that this was machine does an excellent job of getting my wash clean while using very little detergent. It gets stains out too. Lastly, I love the black steel finish, it's beautiful with the rose gold accents. This wash machine is beautiful to look at and allows for a completely customizable wash experience. I'd recommend it to anyone.

Love my washer! Great size, have been able to fit every load in no problem (bedding, large quilts, blankets, mattress pads, rugs) Also has a download setting, you can pair the washer with your phone using the LG Thin Q app and download different wash cycles. I've been using the hand wash & half load wash cycles that are available to download quite often. Very nice to have extra cycle options. Especially the half load when I need to run a wash but don't have much laundry to throw in. Also love how the app notifies me when my load is finished and when to run the cleaning cycle for the washer. It's pretty quiet for the most part, have noticed a few times it being a little on the noisier side but I think it may have been due to the wash cycle I had used those few times. I would definitely recommend this product.

Brand new washing machine - Making a very weird noise during the cycle. Never and ever buy LG brand appliances again in my life.

This LG WM4000HWA washer replaces another LG we had. The old one was not a front loader. This new washer, probably due to the axis of rotation, vibrates much less than my old LG top loader in the final spin cycle. The overall noise level of the new unit is, however, greater than our previous unit. Be aware: if you are replacing an older washer, you will find that this model has a drain hose that measures 1” (nominal) outside diameter. My old washer had a hose that was closer to 1 ¾ inches. You may need to seal (as I did) the drain pipe around this smaller hose to prevent sewer gases from entering your home. My 5’ 2” wife states that it is a bit awkward to load laundry, as the door is quite low to the ground. You may want to consider the optional pedestal to raise the washer. The rotary cycle selector knob uses a white light to indicate the mode. In a bright utility room (shouldn’t they all be bright & cheery?) it is a bit difficult to see the selected mode. After the first tub wash cycle, and then a full wash cycle, there was a very strong (what we assume to be) off-gassing odor from the tub. We aired this for a couple of days, but the odor remains. After another few loads and another tub wash (machine cycle and manual cleaning) the odor persists. I believe the pliable, grey seal to be the culprit. The odor does not infiltrate the clothes, however. Leaving the door open dissipates the odor after a few hours. Bottom line: This LG model WM4000HWA washes the clothes just fine, and I hope by being newer it completes its duties in a more energy-efficient manner than our previous LG model.

Bought my 1st set in 2006 and it was still working in 2020, when i got my 2nd set of LG washer and dryer. Parts were scare to get so we decided it was time for a new set. These have been great products. I love my new LG washer and dryer. Quiet operation , Washes and dries in no time.

This has to be the best washer I have ever had. First let me say how quiet this washer is, it is extremely quiet. My family tends to load up the machine to capacity at times and this machine vibrates minimally. The washer is loaded with features such as a Allergen/Steam Cycle and a separate Steam Cycle. It has most of the regular cycles you may be accustomed to but it also has a WiFi feature using the LG ThinQ App where you can download your own custom wash cycles. Doing some research on this washer I found that Consumer Reports gave this washer one of the highest ranking washers in front load washers which was a deciding factor for me. I am extremely pleased with LG on this washer. The engineering and detail that went into producing this washer was excellent.

Not sure who would design a washer with a 3 hour wash cycle for a "normal" wash (no pre-wash, etc). Also horrible experience with delivery.

ThIs is our second LG front load washer. Very happy with the quality, styling and performance of these appliances. We prefer white appliances and the finish on this washer is just to our liking. Installation is easy, without any issues. Leveling is straightforward. Operationally, the knobs are large, easy to control and the function selections are easy to read. Nice large capacity with this front loader. We love the variety of types of washes you can do with this machine - from the steam sanitizing to the quick, Speed Wash cycle. As with all front loading machines, we assume it will require a bit a TLC to keep the tub fresh. We love the Tub Clean cycle for this purpose. FYI - we also keep the door slightly ajar to provide some airflow. Big thumbs up for this LG washer.

Excellent washer! We received the washer installed it, and checked to make sure that it was as close to perfectly level as possible. Ran a test load ( towels on Rinse and Spin ) through it as instructed in the installation manual. We were shocked how quiet the washer is. Even on spin cycle, it is as quiet as the top loader that we replaced. Vibration was almost non-existent. After the test load was completed, ran a full load of towels. Using TurboWash, it took 30 minutes total for the load. the towels came out clean and fresh smelling. Never thought that it would be possible to wash a load that quickly and have them come out this well. Some cycles automatically use TurboWash and it cannot be defeated. I really don't know why you would want to defeat the feature. I'm sure it saves a lot of water and electricity. My wife is very happy with this washer. It is a very nice looking unit with Rose Gold trim on the knob and the door.. The control panel has numerous options from which to choose. You should be able to wash anything you need to in just the way you wish. We didn't use the Extra Hot Water option yet, but I am sure that we will in the future. The only thing I can think of that would make it better is to include at least a basic paper manual of the operating controls with the machine. Instructions online are very good. But sometimes it is nice to have a paper manual. Or at least make the online manual printer friendly. Other than the manual, we think that this is the best washer we have had so far.

First Impression: The build quality looks great. I previously owned a 12+ year-old top loading Kenmore, so this looked like a sleek space ship in comparison. The tempered glass door will be easy to keep clean and will not scratch like a plastic door might. The controls look a little intimidating at first, but once I realized that the large knob on the front selected the wash type, I felt pretty comfortable. It has a power and a start button with universal symbols for each on them, much like a DVD player or other piece of electronic equipment might have. Usage I know that just about any front loader is going to use about half the water of a top loader, so this is a definite plus. The energy star rating on it says it will use about $10 per year in electricity when used with a gas water heater, or $13 per year with an electric water heater. This means that this appliance will likely save me as much as $10 a month on water, gas, and electricity. Upon first use, the thing I really noticed was that the clothes were much less damp coming out of the washing machine than with the old one (The spin mode was set to High). This has resulted in less dryer use and additional savings on my power bill. The clothes come out very clean. The 4.5 cuft capacity is enough for quite a bit of laundry. Because it is a front loader, there is no agitator. This allows additional clothes to fit in it compared to a top-loader with a tub of the same size. In addition to added capacity, the lack of an agitator gives the benefit of a tub that will not snag or pull straps, belts, or strings on washed garments. This machine is much quieter than my old top loader, but makes slightly more noise than some of the quietest front loaders I have used. Overall, this is a quiet machine. A feature that I found very useful is that there is no need to select a load size. The machine computes the size of the load and fills accordingly. I would like to note that it is certified as an asthma and allergy friendly machine. This may be extremely important to some buyers, so I thought I should mention it. WiFi I also own an LG refrigerator and dishwasher. These appliances can communicate with your cell phone through LG's ThinQ app. This washer can be turned on remotely with you cell phone through this app and it will send you a notification when the wash is done. You can also view the wash settings and change them remotely. Delivery The delivery was scheduled about a few days after the order and confirmed by an automated message on my phone. It was scheduled for a Saturday with a window of 2-6 PM. On the day of the delivery, the driver called at about 2PM and advised me that he was about 45 minutes away. He arrived just before 3PM and had the unit installed and running in test mode by 3:20. Verdict Overall, this is a nearly perfect machine. It looks great, washes very well, and uses very little water and electricity. I have been extremely happy with my other LG appliances (Stove, Microwave, dishwasher, and refrigerator), so I feel very confident in the LG brand when it comes to the reliability of their appliances. I highly recommend this washing machine.

This LG washer is awesome. The instructions are simple to follow for installation and has everything needed for install. The Wifi is simple to setup after downloading the LG ThinQ app to your mobile phone. Using the LG app you can download prewash settings to the washer and setup the washer to order detergent automatically. This washer is super quiet which is a super plus for me.

The scent is awful, chemical and rubber. Plus it rubs off on clothing, so now they smell awful too.

The estimated delivery date is WAY off. It says June 20th but the earliest is actually July 10th. Home Depot delivers straight from the manufacturer. Not sure why the delivery dates are so off. I ordered this washing machine 2 weeks ago. I will not get it for 3 more weeks. Because of this I'm having to drive 30 miles to the nearest laundromat in order to wash my clothes.

First use the detergent compartment leaked lots of water.

Love how many features this has and working it from my phone uses low amounts of water and rings the clothes out till they practically dry dry. It will also handle two full sets of king bedsheets pillowcases if only our installation crew that delivered had been better.

Works fine, is quiet, clothes come out clean, only weird thing clothes with long sleeves or long pants come out all tangled and twisted together.

This washer/dryer combo is great! Both are quiet, easy to use and the black stainless steel looks great too!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This washer is a lot better than the one I bought 9+ years ago. It cleans better, is quieter, and much more stable (less vibration overall) and I really like it, except for two things (which is why I deducted one star). It's very difficult to read the labels on the display, even in a well-lighted room, so it's hard to see what the little lights mean. The other thing is that I am extremely sensitive to EMF and cannot have wi-fi anywhere in my immediate environment. Before I bought this set (also got the matching dryer), I asked LG via chat if the wi-fi could be disabled and was told it was disabled by default. Not so! This machine gives off a full 4 bars of radiation, unless one opens the machine and disconnects the chip sending the signal, even when the machine is off. I think this is a serious design flaw, and should be rethought. Health should not be sacrificed for convenience and wi-fi is not good for one's health. Otherwise, though, this machine is the best!
