New year, and perhaps the time to re-evaluate our relationship with social media

The New Year invites us to explore our hopes for the year ahead and think about intentions that we want to take forward. It’s not just about the future though. It’s also a time to reflect on what we may want to let go of or leave behind in 2023.

Take a look outside your window and you can see many elements of the natural world in decay: barren trees, dormant plants and withering brown leaves. These fallen leaves decompose over the winter, with organic materials breaking down and nutrients released to replenish the soil. The decomposition of fallen leaves, as a process, recognises that even as nature dies back, new life can grow. New beginnings will lengthen.
