As someone who cooks a lot, I've gone through more than my fair share of frying pans over the years. This 12-inch Tramontina tri-ply clad stainless steel pan has quickly become my new favorite. It ticks all the boxes for a great all-purpose pan.
The tri-ply construction features two layers of stainless steel surrounding an aluminum core. This allows for excellent heat distribution and eliminates hot spots. The pan heats quickly and evenly on any stovetop, including induction.
The 12-inch size is perfect for most everyday cooking tasks like frying eggs, sauteing vegetables, cooking proteins like chicken breasts or fish fillets, and more. The cooking surface provides ample room without being too large and unwieldy.
One standout feature is the thickness and weight of this pan. It has a nice heft and durable feel that many cheaper pans lack. The stainless steel exterior looks sleek and the satin interior cooking surface is smooth.
I also appreciate the gently sloped sides that allow easy tossing and flipping of foods. The riveted stainless steel handle is securely attached and stays relatively cool, though I still use a potholder out of habit.
Cleanup is a breeze thanks to the high-quality stainless steel interior. Foods release easily by using just a bit of oil or butter. Stuck-on messes can usually be released by soaking briefly. I've had no issues with staining or pitting.
My only minor gripe is that the pan does not come with a lid, though replacement stainless lids can be purchased separately if desired.
Overall, I'm incredibly impressed by the quality, performance and value of this Tramontina tri-ply clad stainless steel fry pan. It has quickly become my go-to pan for just about any cooking task. Highly recommended for any home chef!

Product arrived today and upon close inspection has a very small pit in the finish right out of the package. Does not appear to be previously used or any signs of other scratches or damage.They promptly sent me a replacement and it has no pitting and cooks great thanks!
