Tag & Sell Your Products with YouTube Shopping! 🛍️
Things to keep in mind
Shorts are the perfect format to show off products or experiences with products in quick, easy to watch videos. To promote and sell your own products, like merch, while earning money:
- Fit the eligibility criteria for YouTube Shopping features.
- Connect your store or stores to YouTube. These include major shopping platforms such as Shopify, Spring, and selected retailers.
Tag the items that you want to promote and decide where and in what order you want them to display to viewers. You can select products from your store that you want to show on your channel, or let YouTube automatically select them for you.
When you tag products in your Shorts, viewers will see a ‘View products’ label show up in the bottom-left corner of the video.
Music and remix
When tagging products in your Shorts, use original sounds or music from the YouTube Audio Library. The ‘View Products’ label will not be shown in Shorts that use licensed music. Similarly, avoid using Remix content in your Shorts with product tagging as the label will not be shown.

Trends are a great way to have fun while increasing your discoverability. For example, tools like Google Trends can help you identify popular consumer trends and products that your audience might be interested in. Other sources include blogs, social media trending pages, and publications on industry or popular culture.
