it's between 3 and 4 stars for me. I'm not easily triggered, but the child abuse/neglect was hard to read. it has the much used "novel love story timeline" but a decent plot twist. I feel like it could have been better with the way I thought it was going to go lol.

this was absolutely killer until the last hundred pages or so. There was just too much trying to be smashed into 90 pages for no reason and it threw off the momentum and cheapened the ending.
