About this ebook

From the #1 New York Times bestselling author of It Starts with Us and All Your Perfects, a “brave and heartbreaking novel that digs its claws into you and doesn’t let go, long after you’ve finished it” (Anna Todd, New York Times bestselling author) about a workaholic with a too-good-to-be-true romance can’t stop thinking about her first love—soon to be a major motion picture.

Lily hasn’t always had it easy, but that’s never stopped her from working hard for the life she wants. She’s come a long way from the small town where she grew up—she graduated from college, moved to Boston, and started her own business. And when she feels a spark with a gorgeous neurosurgeon named Ryle Kincaid, everything in Lily’s life seems too good to be true.

Ryle is assertive, stubborn, maybe even a little arrogant. He’s also sensitive, brilliant, and has a total soft spot for Lily. And the way he looks in scrubs certainly doesn’t hurt. Lily can’t get him out of her head. But Ryle’s complete aversion to relationships is disturbing. Even as Lily finds herself becoming the exception to his “no dating” rule, she can’t help but wonder what made him that way in the first place.

As questions about her new relationship overwhelm her, so do thoughts of Atlas Corrigan—her first love and a link to the past she left behind. He was her kindred spirit, her protector. When Atlas suddenly reappears, everything Lily has built with Ryle is threatened.

An honest, evocative, and tender novel, It Ends with Us is “a glorious and touching read, a forever keeper. The kind of book that gets handed down” (USA TODAY).

This book is an entire journey of emotions, it is ugly but has some beautiful truths. As someone who has been in a beautiful marriage for SO many years, I have never experienced anything remotely relatable to what was happening in the story. It pulled me in, and I found myself wanting Ryle to be better and for things to work... Then the ending woke me up... as someone who has been so fortunate and said the words "I would never." I appreciate this book for making me realize I should never say those words. The fact that I myself "who would never", could root on a man who did bad things was eye-opening to me. I am sorry to anyone that this book actually tells a part of their story. I am sympathetic. be strong, be brave. Once you read this book please follow through with the second one!

Have this in the irl book. AMAZING. This really shows all the stages through a real life toxic/ abusive relationship. From feeling like you're in the best place you'll ever. Be in, to opening your eyes once you are broken up or divorced, and seeing how and realizing how the abuser wasn't showing real love the victim needed. Once out of it, you realize all the red flags, and have second thoughts of getting back with your abuser. THIS BOOK PORTRAYS IT SO WELL. I won't spoil it for new readers of Lily's story, but let me tell you, if you have been in an abusive relationship, my own opinion. PLEASE READ THIS BOOK.

Colleen has suggested a good way to vent up all our negative emotions by Gardening, through her Charecter, "Lily". Colleen has an interestingly bizarre way of writing. An author's success is to make the readers feel it through her writing. And I felt like I'm really with Ryle and Lily over there! We start reading with curiousity in a faster pace, covering a lot of chapters in a jiffy in the initial phase. Gradually, our pace slows down. We count the last few pages left for the book to complete.
