Tuxedo-Clad Golden Retriever Named Pancakes Nails His Job as Couple's Wedding Ring Bearer — See the Video!

The canine ran down the aisle with the couple's rings attached to a ribbon tied around his neck

A golden retriever stole the show on his owners' big day!

The dog, named Pancakes, served as the ring bearer in his owners' wedding in England in early April, and he took his role very seriously.

As soon as the officiant of the ceremony cued him with "Who has the rings?" the canine ran down the aisle of the church on his mission, refusing to be distracted by calls of "good boy" and a few pets from guests.

Pancakes wore what appeared to be a black-and-white tuxedo jacket in the video as he scampered down the aisle, only pausing when he got to the altar, where his owners were waiting for him.

After giving Pancakes some love for a job nearly complete, the bride could be seen removing the rings from a ribbon tied around the animal's neck.

The canine isn't the first golden retriever to play an important role in its family's nuptials.

In January, a dog named Cece was able to make her owners' union official by signing their marriage license with her paw print.

Bride and groom Kristy Biro and Eric Gaidis wed in Colorado, a state that allows couples to self-solemnize, or self-unite, their marriage. The couple's photographer, Felicia TeKolste, shared a sweet video on TikTok showing the golden retriever/Great Pyrenees mix stamping her paw print on the license.

"We always knew we wanted Cece to be a part of our wedding,” Biro told PEOPLE. “And now we have our marriage certificate with her paw print to treasure forever.”
