John Legend Has Fun Making Snow Angels with Miles and Luna While Chrissy Teigen Appears at Sundance

• Chrissy Teigen and John Legend enjoyed some time in Park City, Utah with their older pair of kids
• While Teigen attended work-related events, Legend enjoyed playing in the snow with son Miles and daughter Luna
• The couple also share son Wren, 6 months, and daughter Esti, who celebrated her first birthday last week
  

While Chrissy Teigen was busy at work,  John Legend was having fun with their older kids.

The family traveled to Utah for the Sundance Film Festival over the weekend, with the EGOT winner, 45, getting to enjoy some fun in the snow with son Miles Theodore, 5, and daughter Luna Simone, 7,

While his wife promoted Chrissy & Dave Dine Out, the dad and his two big kids enjoyed making snow angels, hitting the slopes and enjoying time by the fire.

"Mommy’s at Sundance for work. We’re here to make snow angels," he captioned the set of shots on Instagram.

The couple is also parents to son Wren Alexander, 6 months. and daughter Esti Maxine, who celebrated her first birthday last week.

Speaking to WSJ. Magazine for its "My Monday Morning" series last February, Legend explained that he had an "emotional" time when Esti first came home.

"It was making me emotional the first two nights we were home because I just felt the love expand in the house, and I felt the excitement," he said.

In November, the couple took time out to volunteer at their local Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) in Los Angeles, where they cooked breakfast for the families staying there while their children receive critical medical care in the area. Legend told PEOPLE he and Teigen were excited to make it a family affair. 

“This was our kids’ first time at the Ronald McDonald House. We made our mochi pancakes, one of Chrissy’s recipes. And a lot of the kids that were there, some were patients, some were siblings of patients but our kids bonded with all of them quickly," he shared. "They were playing basketball with them, having a good time. I enjoyed watching them.” 

Legend also said that there’s an important lesson in that fun. “We try to teach them that it’s important to give back and to help other people,” he detailed. “They’ve gone with us to help feed people who are hungry, they’ve gone to homeless shelters with us. We try to teach them to be appreciative of what they have and also know that there are a lot of people that don’t have the privileges that they do, so we should do what we can to help them.”
