Amazon Failed to Meet Its Own Leadership Request
Amazon failed to meet a documented refund request from its own leadership team.
Note from Amazon Leadership:
Hello, From the Amazon Leadership Team.
I'm sorry to hear with what happened when it took sometime to settle your issue with refunds, it is not the kind of experience we want you to have.
I submitted a refund request of $400.05 via Claims team to the original payment method or the Visa signature card. When concurred and completed the refund would hit on the card in the next 5 business days. Confirmation: A38QG2M4
In case, I've missed on anything important and you still need any further assistance, please email us back and we'll assist you further.
On a personal level, I appreciate your patience, cooperation and understanding in this matter.
Rest assured we are here to make things easier for you and we'll take every action to prevent you from bearing any loss. It is our privilege to have you as our valued customer & we want to make sure you are always taken care of.
We look forward to seeing you soon. Have a nice day!
Best regards,
(supervisor name deleted) Amazon.com
What followed was a long saga of bureaucracy and internal finger pointing - and ultimately Amazon's total failure to live up to its own policy and procedures. Ultimately, the refund requested by Amazon's own leadership team did not get processed. Instead, they finally reached out to the seller that they previously said "has left the Amazon store or is no longer able to receive email communications." The seller did not honor the 1 year warranty on a product that failed within 6 weeks.
Very Poor customer service from Amazon
They locked me out of my account because I changed the details on a high value order. This is fair enough and I'm happy they are looking after my security. However I would like to get back into the account, and they are finding it difficult to make this happen. The automated AI customer support, is about as much use as a chocolate teapot. I just sends you back the the first page you start on over and over again. I tried calling, but once again it was a waste of time, the operator said they would clear the block on the account and i could use it. Here I am still unable to log on ten days later, having received endless automated emails telling me how wonderful their service is and how much they care. They just need a human with half a brain to look at it. Its an easy fix made impossible by a lack of human resources, and a lack of care. Amazon are now so big they wont notice if my account doesn't work, and they wont care.
Amazon ist große Katastrophe
I wanted to order a Canon printer from Amazon.com. I was prompted to pay by credit card four times, even though I was logged in and had the option to use the undefined option. It's a complete disaster! It works perfectly with Carefour and Aliexpress.

They always solved issues and many times offered refunds. Best customer support you can get in Spain
Amazon Sux TRDS.
How does a company with more than 59,000 complaints have an A+ rating with the BBB? Did they receive the A+ simply by acknowledging those more than 50,000 complaints but doing nothing to satisfy the customer? December 26, 2024, I bought I Fitbit. About February 4th, it stopped working. I contacted Amazon. They refused to refund my money or replace it because it was beyond the 30-day grace period. They referred me to the vendor who refused to replace it. The vendor referred me to the manufacturer, Fitbit/Google. They also refused to do anything. They looked up the serial number and said it was sold by an unauthorized vendor. Amazon is ultimately responsible and should not sell merchandise from vendors they have not vetted. I am stuck with a $200 hunk of junk. All I can do is post complaints online. By the way, the BBB was no help. I will never make a major purchase from them again.
Next day delivery a thing of the past?
I am a Prime member and when I see an item I want advertising next day delivery, I order it only to find that delivery is not next day but next week. This has only started happening in the last few months. It is false advertising. I get through to customer service very easily and receive apology after apology but nothing changes. Yes, I get money put on my gift card and even got last year's Prime membership refunded but I would rather have next day delivery as advertised.
Amazing how bad Amazon is in Spain
Amazing how bad the Amazon Prime service is in Spain. Since the delivery service is essentially the only benefit of Amazon in ANY market, how come they are unable to keep it up in Spain… After starting ordering with Amazon last year, we realized pretty quickly that it’s nothing like the legendary service of Amazon USA. It’s not just that package aren’t delivered same or next day, they don’t even bother to deliver at all in many cases. “Delivery attempted” seems to be used as a cover for someone wanting to finish early or having whatever other issues. It’s ridiculous. We just signed up for Prime again thinking this must be the problem, but the same thing is going on. Two orders now that are still in limbo, and one seems to have been pushed out for a week. Ha ha, Prime free next day delivery, ha!! It’s pretty sad when you have such a good recipe from US performance.
AMAZON.ES !!!!
AMAZON.ES !!!!
tell me ,do you send damaged good out ?
Is that what your starting to do ?
Box was damaged slightly, when opening, I was so disappointed to see a scratch mark on top of the Toshiba microwave!!
Might as well bought cheap products...
As its seems with Amazon cheap is best ??
Not what they used to be..
Love the idea of Amazon, but not their execution.
Amazon Prime used to be great! Now, deliveries are commonly delayed by at least a day, leading to items unexpectedly be left on the porch.
What's added insult? Paying for a premium streaming service, like Paramount+, and still getting jammed up with Amazon's ads! It may be time for a change.
Awful
Awful. There isn't any customer service. No matter how many times I reset my password, my account is blocked, and it's impossible to speak to anyone, because I can't log in! No sale. Whoever manages the IT, sack them.
Total Failure of Delivery – Amazon Responsible
Dear Amazon,
I am writing to file a serious complaint regarding the handling of my order (Tracking number 73165001649778749).
Here is the complete story:
I ordered two frying pans and one pot. The pans arrived correctly on August 6th. The pot, however, did not.
According to your tracking, delivery was “attempted” on August 13th at 11:31 in Kastrup. This is a blatant lie. Someone was home all day, no one rang the doorbell, no phone call, no notice in the mailbox.
The tracking then showed the package “ready for pickup in Kastrup” – but without giving any address. Completely useless information.
On August 21st, after wasting several days, I finally discovered the truth:
The package was handed over to Bring and had been placed in a parcel shop 3 km from my home, with a deadline for collection on August 20th – a deadline that had already expired before I even knew where it was.
I had to spend over one hour in a phone queue to Bring before reaching a very helpful employee who saved the situation by holding the package back so I could pick it up.
The root of the problem: Spring Holland, your subcontractor.
They registered a wrong e-mail address.
They registered a wrong mobile number (German instead of Danish).
They falsely reported an attempted delivery that never happened.
This entire process has been a disaster:
Several days wasted searching for the package.
Over one hour wasted on the phone.
A 4 km walk to collect the parcel, despite the fact that I have a parcel locker right next to my home.
Stress and unnecessary work, all caused by gross incompetence and false information from your subcontractor.
Frankly, this is unacceptable for a company of Amazon’s size and reputation. I expect serious financial compensation for the time, effort, and inconvenience I have endured.
If Amazon cannot handle deliveries better than this, customers might as well order from TEMU at half the price – at least expectations are low. I chose Amazon because I expected reliability and service. What I experienced instead was a total failure.
I will escalate this matter publicly and legally if I do not receive an appropriate response and compensation.
Sincerely,
Niels Ole Pedersen
I am not complaining about Amazon as…
I am not complaining about Amazon as such - although I would love to have an alternative to Bezos' Trump love....
But they keep using DHL as a delivery service, and DHL is the worst ever. Every time I am awaiting a delivery, it's: have delivered, were unable to deliver, pick up your parcel at a delivery point...
I now have three parcels that were hever delivered, both in France and in The Netherlands, so DHL's incompetence is international.
Grrrr
Don’t bother using Amazon in Portugal or Spain it’s a disaster I’m disgusted
I have been buying products from Amazon in uk in France in the USA for many years. I am now in Portugal and it seems its is Amazon Spain who serve Portugal. What a disaster products never arrive in time delivery days keep changing no reliability at all been waiting in for deliveries promised never arrived delivery days change at will excuses tried to deliver are lies as we have been n waiting a absolutely terrible service not fit for purpose at all !!!!
Terrible app, terrible delivery.
The application is difficult to use. I set added address and set it to default, yet the app still chose my old address, and I only saw it today. The app doesn’t show to which address it is going to send your purchase when you place the order.
Another thing is their lazy couriers who don’t even bother to call. I have been waiting the whole day at home not being able to leave even to the supermarket, only to see in the evening that they set the status to “failed attempt of delivery” and sent my package back to a warehouse. I’m going to cancel my order and never order anything again there.
An order was placed
An order was placed. The delivery time was indicated as 2 days (Prime). On the day in question, the delivery was suddenly changed to 2 days later. Then it was changed again with the message that the delivery time could not be met and that a refund would be issued, even though the item still arrived.
And yes, after that specified day, no package. This has happened to me before, and I received a refund at the time, and later the item as well.
I informed Amazon (honest as I am), and they replied that it was okay and that this was my right due to the late delivery. Now, back to my order, which is why this review is being written. Suddenly, a message appeared stating that they strongly suspect my package was lost. For me, this equates to not being delivered on time and therefore a refund, but also that I am still entitled to the item. NO, they replied laconically; that's a different story.
But we will refund you. If you want to reorder the item, please visit the website. YEEEEES, hello, what are we doing? They're probably insured for this kind of situation, but the customer is standing there with his pants around his knees.
order came late however no damage and…
order came late however no damage and right item
AMAZON.co.uk beats the…
AMAZON .co.uk beats the American Amazon.com hands down.
To nobodys suprise these.two giants owning the same name are totally independent of each other!!?
They don't work in a joined up way so there's zero support for me in addressing my complaint or being refunded for the money Amazon.com.took.without my consent over the period of a year
I live in the UK I'm a UK Citizen . I bought an item from amazon.com for a friend living in Florida as thought that was the way to go to get the gift to her easily....I did not join Amazon.com.prime I bought the gift..end.
I'm a prime amazon.co.uk customer I do not need prime in America I don't live there I don't need use or want it. ..however amazon.com have been charging me for Prime membership for a entire year.
After several attempts by me through amazon.com.chat to get them to send me a link so I could upload the photo of my document of all their withdrawals the dates and references numbers. (There's no facility to.upload a document)The emailed response was they'd respond to me in six Hours..it's been weeks!!! No response.great customer service .not
They've subsequently made accessing the amazon.com chat feature Impossible. I've tried several times today. The site led me to download their app not to chat...so I downloaded their unwanted app hoping it would help in accessing Chat but the app chat feature is not an option via the app so why lead me there?? If chat is an option via the app they've made it supremely difficult to find if so it's useless
I don't want to.keep chatting to.Amazon.com. to be frank.i simply want my money back but I've zero confidence that this greedy giant will give back what they've taken from this individual without consent. They can see it's entirely unused but no their keeping my money despite it being clear it should be tefunded.
Horrendously dishonest practise.
It's impossible to access chat.I've zero means of redress.
In my opinion they've acted like thieves taking what they've no right to, popping their hands into my account when they've not had consent
The UK Amazon.co.uk staff said it's clear that the .com prime had not been used and were certain Amazon.com would easily refund me Amazon.co.uk.are wrong their faith in the .com version unfounded
Im confident I would have been refunded in a heartbeat it if it were Amazon.co.uk involved but amazon.com are in my view unhelpful avoidant charlatan's
Amazon.com you are Woeful dreadful and need urgent training from your UK Counterparts in customer service post haste
I've been ordering stuff from…
I've been ordering stuff from Amazon.com for years. I was satisfied until the past few months, when packages were delivered with an item missing. Amazon shipped, package was received, but something was missing...no way to prove it. I'm guessing it happens somewhere in the packing process...maybe sticky fingers?
How to avoid Scamazons Subscribe & Lose scams!
Usually this happens end of quarters, but lately, when there is a huge price drop, Amazon will process Subscribe & Save orders as far as a month early! Even when it says you can cancel if done before the ship date, you get the red notice that item has been shipped, just so happens at the moment of the cancelation attempt. Try to get a rep to cancel, if they do, Amazon retaliates by charging the card regardless and refuses to take the holds off, saying they cant, when in fact they can, and do so monthly when it means they will make more money. Heck, they have even tried shipping subscriptions canceled months prior.
How to avoid this scam, and the holds.
1) Don't do anything on the Amazon site yet. Go to your bank site first!
2) Never use a debit card from a main account. Use debit or credit cards with accounts that have no overdraft, that you have more control by putting funds over, when you know your actually buying!
3) Move all funds out of the accounts that Amazon has access to.
4) Most banks have an online feature to block each card. Do so, so Amazon cant try using a different card. Even with backup payment off, a rep will try another card regardless.
5) Once all cards blocked, go onto Amazons website, and go into the Subscribe and save portion, and cancel every single item. As you do this, you may get bank notices of Amazon's attempts to charge your blocked cards. When they fail, watch how fast all those orders they claimed were shipped get canceled. Amazon NEVER ships until the money is collected. Blocking them saves you time and heartache.
Last year they tried charging me $40 per case of Zevia root beer that was advertised at $12 a case. I had ordered 10, so the $120 order changed to well over $400+. Moment I got the decline message, I moved all funds and blocked cards.
Take screenshots so bank can do charge backs in case you do get ripped off. This is because after I wrote an article, similar to this review, Amazon started splitting orders. If a order changes price, like the root beer. Amazon will charge $40×3 and ship 3 cases at $120, instead of shipping the 10 at $12 for $120, if given the chance.
