Dropped Into A Turbine Engine is a YouTube video showing the uploader AgentJayZ dropping a small screw into an old turbine engine. Other YouTube users uploaded their own versions of the video edited with different sounds or music.

Origin

On July 7, 2010 a YouTube user named AgentJayZ uploaded a video called "Dropped into a turbine engine". In the video, he drops a small screw into an old turbine engine to show viewers "the terrible sound you never want to hear when working on turbine engines". According to the video's description, it is a bad sound because you need to take apart the turbine engine to remove any object that has fallen and got stuck inside it. The video has over 12 million views:

On July 15, 2016 a YouTube user named kmlkmljkl uploaded an edited version of the video called "the sound you dont want to hear" with the song "Down Under" by Australian rock band Men at Work. The video has over 18 million views:



This inspired other YouTube users to upload their own edited versions. On July 17, 2016 a YouTube user named Punkkap uploaded a video called "Grand Theft Turbine Engine". It has over 130,000 views:
