Absolute clown show

As a operator I could not be more disappointed with this company.

Lets clarify a couple key aspects. Customers would like a order, businesses make the order. "EZ" by its very definition is a middle man.
However they attempt to control and even threaten the people they NEED to survive and thrive and they do it with automated text messaging where you cannot contact a Human Being.

My most recent situation involved a order being placed on 9-25 for a 9-28 delivery. However due to other large orders I had already scheduled for the delivery time requested, I asked for a change in delivery time to a earlier time.
TWO full business days came and went with no response of any type from "EZ" until 6:35 pm EST (it's important to note my biz hours are 630am until 3 pm) so a full 3.5 hours after the end of my biz day and with less than 12 hours notice "EZ" told the customer they could have a delivery for 9 minutes after my doors open the next morning. ANYONE with ANY clue how restaurants operate know that to rearrange staffing andnl prepare for a large order takes time and effort. Hence why I put the request in 2 FULL DAYS AGO. "EZ" dropped the ball, "EZ" failed to communicate efficiently and effectively (free hint stop with the automated bullshit, hire some humans to man accounts, assign account reps who can handle issues...you know spend money on YOUR infrastructure) resulting in the customernbeing frustrated with experience and canceling the order.

Furthermore this is coming off the heels of me receiving a TEXT message THREATENING me with "probation" due to a previous order running...wait for it...5 mins behind schedule during the course of my normal biz hours and a peak times.
Here's another free hint, hire Restaurant people to run your company, not app nerds who don't have a good app and don't know anything about operating a food service business...sitting in offices dreaming up ideas that aren't practical. Telling the people you work for (the customers and operators pay you, not the other way around you know that right????) To fill out worksheets and scan QR codes and take pics as "evidence" is never going to work, I would no more go to that extra effort than I would rob a bank. You've lost your collective minds, you have no clue what you're doing and you're FAILING.

SO here is my automated "threat" fix everything about your business model asap before the entire Restaurant community tires of shtick and you become obsolete and extinct

Great Delivery - Not so great freshness

The set up person was so great. He took time stop and explain what the various foods and toppings, and helped me set the buffet up for my group. Was not thrilled with some of the lettuce choices for our salads. It did not seem as fresh as I had hoped. For the cost, I had thought the quality and freshness would be better. Also had a 20 minute or so delay due to a hot item not being finished at the pick up time.

Food never showed up, would not recommend to anyone.

Food never showed up. They called 5 minutes before delivery time to ask if we could pick it up an hour away, even though we ordered delivery—no solutions offered on their end. Would not recommend to anyone.

Won’t Use Again

I placed a catering order for delivery to one of my customers. At checkout, I changed it to “pick-up.” The order was sent to a location an hour away from my customer, which I didn’t realize until I went to pick it up. I had to place a 2nd delivery order so my customer had the meal I promised to provide, and they wouldn’t anything to help me. I filed a Dispute and no one will respond to me (there’s no one you can speak to directly).

No utensils and messed up pizza

We ordered pizza from Mortadella Head. One of the pizzas arrived completely mangled and destroyed. The pizza had been tossed around in the box, all the toppings came off and the pieces were mushed.

We requested plates, silverware, and napkins. These did not come with the food and we had to scramble to find napkins and plates to use. I caught the delivery person and asked where they were, and they said they were not given anything.

EZ Cater Needs a Smarter, More Reliable System

As a restaurant operator who takes pride in accuracy and service, it's incredibly frustrating to deal with a platform that makes disputing orders feel like jumping through hoops. EZ Cater’s current process—requiring links, steps, and hours of surveillance footage—is not only inefficient, it’s unrealistic for busy operators. In our case, three employees verified the order was correct before it left our store. So when a customer claims items were missing, we’re left wondering: is it dishonesty on their end, or are drivers mishandling or even stealing food?
To make matters worse, late deliveries are a regular occurrence—about 50% of the time. That reflects poorly on us, even when we’ve done everything right.
EZ Cater needs to implement a better system:
- Real-time delivery tracking and accountability
- Streamlined dispute resolution that respects restaurant time constraints
- Stronger checks on driver reliability and customer claims
Restaurants like ours work hard to serve communities and support fundraisers. We need partners who match that level of integrity and efficiency.

Please consider contacting restaurants directly over using Ez cater as of October they are enforcing policies that make it clear they no longer care about small businesses they only care about large companies I have worked with them for 10 years with multiple businesses it is absolutely deplorable the way that they are conducting themselves and their refusal to find a resolution

Arrived an hour early, unfortunately.

Food was good, but arrived an hour early. I had already scheduled them to arrive 30 minutes early, so in total, they were an hour and a half early and our cold sandwiches were warm sandwiches when served.

Large order done extremely well

My order was large and called for a Sunday morning delivery. The order was delivered right on time and was in great shape- everything was completely correct and labled accordingly. I was extremely pleased with all facets of this order.

I was disappointed in my last order experience. I placed an order and need to go back and add something to the order and they completely messed up the order.

I wasn't satisfied with my order. This time. I needed to add something additional to my order and they messed it up completely. I only needed one additional 2 meat platter with sides and they gave and charge me for 2, 2 meat platters with sides. I asked the representative to call me back and verify my order before placing it and no one called back, they just placed the order and did so incorrectly.
