How to import large amount of photos / videos from SSD to iPad Pro.

Hello, thank you in advance. I need to move a large amount of Photos and Videos (44000 items -330 GB- aprox) from SSD to my iPad Pro.

But when I connect my SSD to my iPad Pro through good usb c cable, Files App only detects 10048 items from SSD (when I know there are 44000 aprox). Same thing happens if I connect SSD to my iPhone 15 Pro Max, it only detects 10048 items).

Is there any fix / idea? Thank you.

Have you tried importing smaller "batches" of photos - instead of trying to import them all at the same time?

Importing/copy/moving more manageable batches may resolve the issue. Processing a particularly large numbers of files in a single operation can overwhelm the processing capacity of even the most powerful desktop computers, let alone a portable platform such as iPad.

When transferring bulk or large files, consider using a third-party file manager App - as these are often both more stable and capable than the native Files App.

Of those available, perhaps consider Stratopherix FileBrowser - Document Manager, or its “pro version” FileBrowser Professional:

You might review the extensive online Manual and help files to determine suitability for your needs.

Hello again, thank you for help and for the time you spent in answering my question.

I haven’t tried to import smaller batches since it’s a pain because it’s you have to keep track of the import manually and it’s easy to make mistakes. (But unfortunately doing manually by smaller batches might be the solution).

Thank you for your recommendation of FileBrowser… (I’ve a paid subscription with FileBrowser Go and also used to have FileBrowser Pro in my Mac), but FileBrowser didn’t work well for me when trying to move batch files to pCloud (cloud storage), because it shortened and corrupted my videos)…
