music just starts playing automatically on my iPhone

I had to tweak it a bit, because my issue was not Bluetooth related, my issues is it would start auto playing when plugged into a “power” source that also had audio capabilities, like when plugging into my car to use CarPlay via the cable, or connecting to a home mini base, etc. so instead of doing the “Bluetooth” option in your instictions, I chose the “when you connect to power” option. This worked for the most part, it still blasts music for 1-2 seconds before the “pause” automation kicks in, but at least I’m not having to go in and pause it myself anymore!

Nope, tried turning off automatic airplay and that didn’t work either. Perhaps it works if your phone is connecting through airplay, but I’m having this problem when my phone is docked, so disabling automatic airplay does nothing for that.

I have the same problem but only my phone. No issues With MacBook, iPad or even iPod touch. Bluetooth headset, car stereo both auto play without the music app open. I finally got so fed up I deleted the music app off of my phone and only left it on my other devices.

I tried doing this and no matter what status the infinity or repeat symbol are in the up next list shows my entire music library, in alphabetical order. I hit clear all and it cleared the history… and still shows my entire music library ready to play next. I’m so frustrated.

Thanks for taking the time to answer my question. I however don’t get the option to clear the list. Am I supposed to manually delete all 50, 60 or so playlist items one by one?

That didn't work for me. The music still autoplays.

Thanks for this suggestion. I looked all around on the phone and couldn't see where you set a time limit on the app. Can you tell us where that is? Thanks!
