How I turn off or block NFC tags

2023 purchased iPhone 13, very dissatisfied. I hate those NFC tags, is insane the amount that I am getting and ruining my experience when using the iphone, I turned off notifications for all apps except calendar, phone and text, reviewed every app setting, I don't use apple pay (is off), don't have any cc storage on the phone. My location is off for most of the applications except when I use maps (I don't use uber neither any of those apps).

I go to the gym, use iTunes (only music that I purchased, notifications off and location off) but in all my workouts I got NFC tags notification for Halo cloud (I never signed and have no interest on them and I don't want they to track my information) those NFC show to be linked with Safari which I turned off (notifications, tracking, siri...) I even try to get rid of those notifications disabling Java in Safari but is like a monster they keep popping.

Can somebody help. let me know how I can get rid of those NFC tags?

As a user, I would like to request Apple to add a feature in the IOS enhancements for the user to disable NFC notifications and to add funtionality for the user to block/prevent third party companies tracking and tagging , I been spending so much time on this and there is nothing that I can do to control from my phone (the user/owner needs to have the control).

Whenever I leave my home these NFC tag notifications start to appear on my iPhone, too. In the next update, I agree Apple should release a fix to disable them.

Agree with the author, in multiple gyms it’s been incredibly invasive. Halo nor any other 3rd party is motivated to give users control when this is the way they get people to use their product. It’s apple’s job to implement protections for us from abuse like this.

yes me too, I go to the gym and when I'm jogging my music goes down an I get about ten NFC tags from Safari.. This is extremely annoying. I've tried do not disturb and the stupid halo NFC tag appears and disrupts my workout..... Fix this Apple this is extremely frustrating and Halo is no help in this matter. When you are working out you don't want notifiactions from Halo.

I am having this same issue and have spent countless hours trying to resolve. Nothing is working. Apple - please fix this.

We understand that you'd like to disable NFC on your iPhone.

The iOS doesn't include a feature which would allow NFC technology to be disabled. If you're only seeing this alert while you're at the gym, it appears that Halo includes NFC technology in exercise equipment. You can reach out to Halo directly to help you to determine how to prevent notifications from the equipment. You can find their website here: Halo
