Overcharged
I had Alex out the other day to fix a leaky gas connector. He arrived a little after 7 am in the morning and quickly diagnosed the issue.
He went to Bunnings to purchase a replacement, returned at 8:09, fitted the connector by 8:25 and was out the door by 8:42.
He charged $711.26. The replacement part appears to cost $22.30.
I had to accept the exorbitant charge as I was settling on the sale of the house later that day.
I have since spoken to a manager at Chiswick who said, "plumbers can charge an arm and a leg". He said I should have asked Alex for a discount.
The plumbers from Chiswick Plumbing did an excellent job, we thank you.
The plumbers from Chiswick Plumbing did an excellent job today. They had to disconnect a PVC down pipe that was directing water under the house, thereby causing damage. They sealed this part of the gutter and installed a colour bond downpipe that matched an existing one. They then drilled a hole through a double brick wall for the PVC pipe to connect with the downpipe. They connected the down pipe and PVC fitting to a rainwater drainage pipe under the house. They did this competently, one could tell they had done this before.
Great experience
Great experience with Chiswick Plumbing and the customer support team .Their response is quite quick friendly and offer a high service level.
Excellence personified
On a Wednesday I called, they quoted on Friday and started work on Monday completing the work on Friday. I lost count if how many plumbers didn't answer my call or return it. Most that answered took my details and organised a time to quote and neither turned up or answered my follow up calls. Those that turned up, assessed and said they would get back to me with a quote and then didn't. In every way, dealing with Chiswick was delightful, from the staff in the office to the plumbers on-site. They were not the cheapest or most expensive but absolutely unbeatable on reliability. Thank you to you all.
WARNING WARNING
WARNING WARNING. RIP OFF RIP OFF.
This Plumber should be on a Current Affair. Trying to charge $1800.00 Plus for a 2-3 hour job max.
He stated it would be 5 hours work, that still equates to $360.00 per hour.
The so called Plumber sent to my home, didn't look like a Plumber, didn't quack like a Plumber and certainly was not licensed.
Upon writing a review The Boss then sends me a Voicemail from a no ID phone number, but his voice gave him away. I would ask him to come and see me, then we can sort it out.
If a Plumber has to call into Base to ask what to charge and what to do then he is not a Plumber.
I sent him on his way and kicked and booted my front door.
Why not call the Police, well them at Burwood Command are as bent and malicious as this Plumber!
our experience
not realising the extent of the blockage problem, your plumbers were quick ti identify where we had damaged 50yr old pipes, what was needed to get to them, the extent of the damage, how long it would be to fix it, and the price it cost. they kept us appraises throughout the opperation of what was being done and the costing involved. they put in extra access point for future use and tidied up after themselves in a very professional way. much obliged to their prompt service

Moved from Sydney inner west to Thirroul - saw a Chiswick Plumbing truck on Bulli Pass and reached for the phone. Used them for 23 years until I moved. Superior service and professionalism. They always turn up - they listen to your explanation and together (we) work out the solution. They do it and I am happy to pay. Now when it rains I just enjoy the sound and smell. The stormwater is redirected and just flows away!!!!!!
Great service, as always
Chiswick Plumbing responded promptly and Matt, his helper and the sparkie did a great job updating/moving our hot water service. A neat and tidy job, cleaned up and checked thoroughly that all was working, all done in a few hours with minimum interruption to the household - friendly and polite and charmed the (large) pet dog too. Thank you!
