Binbox - Smart Locker Rentals 4+

I wish this app was expanded everywhere! In the summer, I used to visit a local water park a lot. The stress of having to find an available locker and not know who was sold out and who wasn’t was really stressful. Potentially using this, I could reserve a locker and not worry about the first part of my day. Imagine being able to use a luggage locker at the airport and have it ready and reserved before you get there. I hope to see this expanded more than just my local venues!

This was used at the Miami Open. The app is confusing and the lockers don’t work and sync properly. We had issues with renting a locker, closing it and then retrieving the items due to app and locker issues. A lot of the lockers were broken at the event.

My first experience with Binbox was at Nationals Park, Washington DC this evening. I went straight from work to the game. I took my work bag knowing I would have to check it. At the stadium I was directed to download the app which I did. The app said no more bags accepted at the event which was plainly untrue - many lockers were open and available for a last place team’s game. I reported the problem to the security guard and he tapped on my phone a few times and then instructed me to write my name on a tag and I’d get my bag back if I brought $10 cash, else he’d be ‘out of pocket’. Sure enough at the end of the game I was asked for $10 cash even though everyone around here knows there’s no ATM at the stadium. I happened to have five singles and he accepted that as some sort of offset. I work remotely most of the time now and my office is in that bag. It was basically extortion. I’m used to poor customer service in DC but Binbox don’t provide an opportunity for corruption.
