ive brought my furbaby several times since first review. Roy never disappoints. He truly is a kind and very warm human, then to add he is such a caring paw-paw to our furbabies.
He responds during business hours and displays professionalism. it is a drive but so worth it bc my baby comes home re-energized before finally sleeping deeply with tongue sticking out which means he is happy. If he is happy, I am happy too.
Still a 10+ stars

Thank you very much for this amazing review. My apologies for replying to your review so late. I make sure that your fur-baby has as much fun and enjoys his stay @uncle_pawpaws as possible. My #petsitting and #doggiedaycare allows them to be as active and playful as possible! It is as if they are at the dog park all day! And I enjoy watching them play and have fun!
Thank you so much!
10+ stars
Meeting Uncle Roy made the daycare search experience so much easier and less worrisome. He is very professional, super nice and communicates in a way that allows one to feel comfortable for ones fur-baby and guardians (new word for owner).
The fact it's in a home (house) environment (in a clean and safe neighborhood) was a big bonus. Knowing my fur-baby is in a home allows one to feel the comforts, safety and warmth of a home, instead of a cage, kennel or slab of concrete.
In previous years, I have boarded or had daycare at "day camps", "daycares":, or "hotels" aka boarding facilities. At the time, it was ok, but sometimes ones dogs return a little disheveled or not smelling nice, which I can understand. But nothing beats a home environment.
All the dogs (big or small, young or old) were introduced slowly and observed and then played as all dogs should. They played in the home as well in the grassy backyard. Watching dogs may sound easy, but watching a bunch of dogs takes patience, so I'm very comfortable that Uncle Roy has that quality.
He also took time to send pictures and videos directly to me, which helps guardians feel at ease. I somewhat prefer that in this day and age of social media.
After peeling my fur-baby away, my fur-baby came home exhausted, and I'm sure dreaming of how much fun occurred durimg the stay, by sleeping for almost 2 days. :) In addition, I'm sure my fur-baby is visualizing the next visit with Uncle Roy and the Fur-Gang :)
His business partner is also a dog groomer, so if it's a long or short stay, a fur baby can get washed, cut or fully groomed for a fresh fur baby ready to come home.
Highly, highly, highly recommended !
2 star = "could've been better"
Last time I went to a Tung Kee or TK noodle house was way before Covid. I'm guessing 7 years. I didn't have a good or desktop experience but a friend wanted to try the 2nd location in Milpitas.
It's in the shopping center that has a dim sum place and a filipino restaurant called KALESA, boba drink stand, as well as a Walgreens.
Upon entering, the place is very small and seating appears to be very close. The cashier is directly in front when you walk in. The lady just shoved the menu, while she's transacting another customers payment. So no greeting of any sort. We figured we had to sit ourselves.
We chose a booth on the outer perimeter. Table was clean and lots of condiments and eating utensils on the table. While flipping through the menu, an unhappy man came and ask for our order. We weren't ready and he looked frustrated we weren't ready. That was a weird moment.
Minutes later, he came back and we read the numbers. He obviously knows the menu bc he memorized it and walked to the kitchen.
The first dish was the egg and daikon fried dish topped with peanut halves with red vinegar as a dip. We were going to share so we asked for little plates. He looked at us as if we were crazy and left. He returned with 2 bowls and said they don't have plates and he briskly took off.
About 5 min later. The 2 other dishes came out. One was a wonton noodle soup and the other was a combination Chow Fun. Both were steaming hot :)
Overall the chow fun was above average and tasty imho. However the soup was tasteless. It definitely was bland and needed seasonings..a lot ! I suspect that's the reason for the numerous condiments on the table.
Overall, don't expect descent customer service. From the first step, the menu handoff from the lady cashier I thought was rude. Then the unhappy older man had no emotion. Very stoic. So it's a zero for customer service.
2 out of the 3 dishes were descent (chow fun and daikon/egg appetizer), so its 2 stars for the food. If we had received a hello, a welcome greet or even a simple smile, it would likely have been a 3 star.
I'm surprised I had not shared my review for this Sunday morning FARMERS MARKET. Since I have been to both locations (Bryant lot and Caltrans parking lot, I have to give it a 3 star as it's an average of both locations.
The Caltrans location is the primary location. The Bryant lot is usually used when there is an NFL 49er home game or perhaps when Caltrans needs their lot for their own event, etc.
The Caltran station (corner of Castro Street and Evelyn) location is easy to get to, the side parking lot is well-maintained and clean and the market aisles or pathways are wider, imho. Vendors are very friendly and nice. This FARMERS MARKET has an array of seasonal fruits and vegetables, salad greens, eggs, micro-green plants, milk, a few packaged foods that you can pick up and take home as well as honey, plants, seafood. But like with every farmers market offerings may be seasonal and vendors may vary, but for the most part, you will likely see the same vendor the next week so it's great to form a foodie relationship with them.
As for the Bryant lot, parking is very hard. I am not sure if there is a lot to park in but it seems like I circled around 10 times just to find street parking. I saw people crossing California Street so I am assuming there are parking over there and crossing to get to the farmers market, the aisles or pathways were narrower, and the ground was not as smooth as the other location. My shopping partner commented its very condensed meaning every booth was tightly squeezed in as well the aisles. Very claustrophobic.
Prices are a little pricier. 2 large Cara Cara was $7.50 or $8.00 here. While I went to another local farmers market and I bought 3 of the same size for $7.50, plus an extra 2 tangerines that vendor threw in for free. Both cara2 oranges were organic but priced more here. But my favorite booth is Far West Fungi. I love mushrooms, especially Lions Mane and shitake, but they offer dozens of mushrooms.
Overall, if you ask me about the CalTran location, it's a 5. But the other location is a 1 star (for the location and accessibility issues)
Tip: I Sign up so you'll know the fruit, vegetable or product of the season. Newsletter comes with vendor highlights or tributes, as well as recipes.
2.5 stars. "Could be better"
Came here on a Sunday late morning. Actually went to the Mountain View farmers market, but could not find parking so decided to get a quick lunch and then return back to the farmers market.
This shopping center has 99 Ranch, a drug store, marshals, and an Eric's DeliCafe, as well as other restaurants in the same shopping center. Took a peek in and it looked empty and I thought great. We will get quick service. As soon as you walk in you can see it is a place o Which can pick two or three dishes from a steam table of Chinese dishes. It's the typical kind where you can get rice or noodle or half-and-half, then you pick the other. All placed in a clear 3 compartment plastic container. The soup seemed little in a paper bowl.
In my opinion, the portions are smaller then even the similar type restaurant like panda express and I picked half-and-half plus salt and pepper shrimp, and a veggie with tofu, along with hot and sour soup, which was extra. my shopping partner ordered black pepper chicken chow mein and I can't remember the other. All together with one bottled water, it came out to $36 and some change.
I could have certainly gone to a regular sit down restaurant with service for less than that for the both of us during lunch. In my opinion, it's an OK place, but be mindful that it's not much of a value when they give you little portions.
The staff was OK. They mostly stayed in the cashier area. Obviously they don't go out and clear the tables for you or ask how you're doing so just expect the only service you get is when they put the food in your container and when you pay at the other end of the king counter.
I would give the food that I ate at C grade however, my shopping partner said it was tasteless and actually got up and asked for seasonings.
Months ago a friend mentioned he gets his Sunday dinners when he also shops for fruits and vegetables at the Milpitas Farmers Market located next to the McDonaldd outside the Great Mall in Milpitas.
I finally made it there and found the market to be quite small however it was perfect for me. I bought my fruits and veggies and when I turned to go to the next lane/aisle. I saw this Filipino booth with about half a dozen customers in line. I joined the line and watching what customers were ordering. It seemed like it was more stews and bbq sticks.
I ended up with empanada bc they were small enough to enjoy while I finish my shopping. I am picky with my empanada, because I have had some that are mostly all bread or dough. However, I was pleasantly surprised they had flavor, and the outer dough was a little bit crispy and lightly doughy, but not over exaggerated so for me, I was pleasantly happy with the dough to meat ratio.
The meat which I later found out was ground chicken was seasoned really well and it was moist. But keep in mind, they look small, but taste big :)
So the next time I return, I will be sure to buy even more of the empanadas. If they sold them Unfried and frozen I would certainly like to buy a bag for my freezer for those moments that you just need a quick bite..
Today was the first day !!! :)
Actually came in for a Samoan pastry that I stumbled upon years ago while checking out Juanitas Polynesian Delights. Never had this bread before and to my surprise this bread was yummy, so whenever I'm near by I go here.
So as one walks in you see flyers that this business is in partnership w/ JPD (see flyer) This brand new business serves Filipino foods. Just like Juanitas catered food, the Filipino dish side are served from hot buffet/chafing steam tables. Their is a handwritten poster board of the menu offerings which is somewhat difficult to read, so it's best to ask them to tell you by them lifting each lid, as its unlabeled. From what I recall she had BBQ chicken skewers, fried fish, and maybe 4 "stew" like dishes (sorry can't recall the names). She sells by styrofoam cups/containers once you decided which one you like.
The owner (Rosalie) was so happy to share her home cooking. After your done, the person at the register will ring you up (same register if you get dishes from the Samoan steam table) Oversll, I wish this new business much success.
