1. Got a SIM?
If you have your old SIM back, you can continue using it. Skip ahead to step 2.

If you need a new SIM, with a quick chat.
When it arrives, using your original phone number. If you can’t log in to My Vodafone, use our SIM activation form instead.
You’ll get an email and text message when your SIM is active.
2. Unblock your device and remove any bars
Put your old/replacement SIM in your device, and then:
If you haven’t made an insurance claim: Get in touch with us to unblock your device. Next, remove any bars that might be protecting your account – like a data bar.
If you made an insurance claim: And you’ve received a replacement device, then the block on the device can’t be removed. If the insurance is with us, you must also return the device. To arrange this, give the team a call on 0333 304 3346.
Update your insurance claim: If you’ve made a claim on your insurance for the lost device and have received a replacement device, then the block on the device can’t be removed. If the insurance is with us, you must also return the device. To arrange this, give the team a call on 0333 304 3346.
That's everything - you'll be able to use your phone when it has signal and the Vodafone symbol – this can take up to 24 hours, but it's usually much faster.
If you're worried that someone may have accessed your personal data while your phone was lost or stolen, change the passwords for your online accounts, like your email, and online banking.
