Nora Dellepiane

Biography

Nora Dellepiane is a Dr in Biological Science (University of Buenos Aires, Argentina) specialized in Microbiology, with a Diploma in Health Systems Management (London School of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene).

She has over 40 years of experience in quality and regulation of Biological Products, particularly vaccines. Started her career at the Biologicals’ National Control Laboratory in Argentina (1978- 1996). She led the laboratory since 1985. She did her doctoral thesis at the Pan American Center of Zoonosis (PAHO/WHO) in Buenos Aires Argentina (1984).

In 1996, she took a position at the World Health Organization where she worked until 2015. She was responsible for the development and leadership of the Vaccines and Immunization Devices Prequalification Programs during 17 years with additional responsibility over the Regulatory Strengthening group including global training activities in the field. In the last years at WHO took over the role of establishing and leading the Regulatory Systems Strengthening team (Essential Medicines Department EMP).

Her expertise spans from production, quality control, quality assurance and regulation, but has also international experience in immunization, supply chain and other vaccine immunization related matters.

Since 2015 she has worked as an independent consultant for companies, WHO and other public and private organizations.
