A New Place to Gather
This previously outdated kitchen was remodeled into the perfect space for family and friends. One of the biggest issues in the kitchen was the lack of storage, and it not feeling welcoming due to very little natural light. With custom cosmetic updates bringing the kitchen into the 21st century, we were also able create a larger island for more storage and seating. We also moved the window and added skylights for a brighter feel.

Above Fridge Cabinet Storage Solution
Replacing the refrigerator in our 1926 Detroit-area home created a new issue - the former cabinet had to be removed because this counter depth fridge is taller. I wanted easy access to my serving trays and cookbooks often consulted. Solution: ordered a white cabinet without doors, and installed dividers ordered from Amazon (had to paint them). The back of the open cabinet is painted a shade or two darker than the green used on the kitchen walls - we use Sherwin Williams paint.
