How to say goodbye to your team
- Generally there are three ways to leave a job, you resign and give notice, you resign and are asked to leave immediately, or you get fired. So, your ability to say goodbye to the other members of your team will vary accordingly. If you give notice and are not shown the door right away, you'll have the opportunity to properly take your leave as the expression goes. Subject to your boss's approval of course, you begin this process by sending a goodbye email to your team and everyone else in the company. Your communication should include the following: why you're leaving, you want to spend this positively, don't bad mouth the company or anyone who works there. You're bowing out gracefully, not settling scores. For most of your co-workers, this will be the last impression they have of you, make it good.
