The Select tool
- [Instructor] The Select tool is arguably the most used tool in SketchUp. The icon to activate it is this arrow here, or you can use the keyboard shortcut, which is your Spacebar. And I highly recommend using your Spacebar, since this tool is used so often, and it's the largest key on your keyboard. The Select tool allows you to do just what the title says, select something. To select an entity or object in your model, you can simply click and release over that geometry. You can see that I'm clicking and releasing on different groups within my model. You can select faces, edges, as well as groups and components. If you select something that you didn't intend to, you can either click into a space with no geometry off to the side, or onto a different intended entity or object. If you would like to select more than one entity or object at a time, you can use a few different methods. One of them is to hold down the Shift…
