- [Instructor] If you've ever had an image that's provided in the wrong aspect ratio and you need to expand it or contract it and you know how much work is involved in that, then this is definitely something you're going to be interested in. What I'm going to do here is I'm going to tap C on my keyboard to get to the crop tool and in the fill area at the top here, I'm going to choose generative expand. I'll then zoom out a little bit, like so, and then I'm going to pull on the side handles. Let's go just about that far there on the side and then equally on the other side, more or less anyway, and then hit return. And this is where the magic happens. You can see that it's generating already. It's looking at the image, learning what's in there, and then it's going to attempt to actually heal those two empty areas.
