Search and place parts in a schematic

- We have our library parts, but how do we get them into a drawing, so someone can read and understand what we are trying build? In Orcad capture, we capture the idea of a circuit, visually, and this is called a circuit schematic. So, I'll show you how to find a part you need, using the place part feature. Go to Place Part, or hit P, on your keyboard. You can also click on this Place Part icon. Now, we have our parts loaded, so let's search for our part. Say, a capacitor, the first part is a 0.1uF capacitor, or 100nF capacitor. Highlight the part and double-click it, to attach it to your cursor. Now, right click the canvas, to pull up some options. You can choose to rotate the part, mirror it, horizontally, or mirror it, vertically. You can also edit the part properties. Let's say I need 25nF, instead of 100nF, so I'll just change it here, to 25nF. Then, click OK. Now, go ahead, and left-click, to place the part. To stop placing parts, right-click, then choose End Mode. You can…
