- [Narrator] All right, so the component that we need for the course are Arduino Uno, a 10k ohm resistor, a 330 ohm and we need three of them, three LEDs, push button, and jumper wires. The last thing that we need is a breadboard to make the connection of the circuit. Now, if this is your first time using a breadboard, the connection of the breadboard goes this way. The ones inside are connected this way. They're connected horizontally versus on the sides, the connection happens vertically. So for example, if I have the resistor here and I connect it this way, and I want to make sure that this resistor is connected to another component, let it be another resistor. Now the connection needs to be on the same row, this row over here. So I need to make sure that the connection is on the same row, and that the other side goes anywhere in the circuit. The sides, we usually use them for the same power source or a common ground. So for example, if I have the power source, I can connect it here and I can make the connection all the way over here. The same thing happens if I wanted to have a common ground. So I connect it here and then let's say, I want to connect the resistor to a common ground, so I just need to make the connection between the resistor, the common ground over this side, and also make sure that you connect the same row, and this is how you make sure that you have a common ground.
