- [Instructor] This course is for anyone interested in or responsible for building strong cybersecurity programs. Because ISO 27001 is globally recognized as a comprehensive cybersecurity framework, it's hard to go wrong with building your security program based on it. You don't have to be a security expert to take this course, but it's helpful to understand fundamental security concepts. If you're unfamiliar with these concepts, I recommend taking Malcolm Shore's "Cybersecurity Foundations" course on LinkedIn Learning before returning to this course. He covers security frameworks and controls, cyber threats and more. Risk management also plays an important role in ISO 27001, so taking Jason Dion's "Risk Management for IT and Cybersecurity Managers" course is a great way to brush up on that knowledge if you need to.
